I booked this through booking.com. Unpleasant surprise of a fee when you check in £75 which two weeks later is still to be given back. Had to flight upon check out because they have the audacity to try keep £15 a night for a ´reception fee’ is that not included in the price nowadays..? this fee is mentioned no where when reserving. In theory the hotel is nice but very worn. First room had the mini bar door hanging off, tears in the chair and black mould in the shower. It was so hot we couldn’t sleep and the AC didn’t work apparently a known issue in this hotel - and you can’t even crack a window. We asked to move and the second room had the plug in the bath that was broken. It’s a shame because it’s a nice hotel but it looks so dated because of the lack of maintenance. Saving grace was that the staff were nice and quite helpful, but you can tell they’re used to complaints. Edit: three days later, the email address for the front desk still doesn’t reply… And another edit- 4 emails later, three weeks after my stay and they have not answered any mails nor refunded deposit. They are incapable of finding my booking when I called !! and promised to reply by 3.30… of course another email went unanswered Lydia this time In my opinion this is fraud.
40 minute delay on check in but apart from that we had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. There was a mini bar in the room but all it contained were 2 cartons of water. Not a problem for us as we are not big drinkers, but seeing as it was advertised as having one when we booked, we thought it ought to have been stocked with more than water. The hotel is absolutely ideal if your attending a concert at the empire that's right next door as we were. The lobby/foyer area was lovely and the bar area was very comfortable. Service was at the bar was excellent. We had the breakfast in the morning which was fine. Plenty of choice between a cooked breakfast or a more continental breakfast depending on your preference. The muffins were delicious.
I want to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional service provided during my visit. Mr Abdell and his team was not only professional but also genuinely warm and attentive. From the prompt seating to the thoughtful recommendations, every detail was handled with care and precision. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile truly enhanced the dining experience. It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of efficiency and hospitality. Thank you for making the visit so memorable!
The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and beautifully designed, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel’s bar is also a standout, offering a lovely atmosphere and excellent drinks. However, the highlight of our visit was definitely Tamara at the check-in desk. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about the hotel. Her kindness and helpfulness made a significant difference in our experience. We would return just for her exceptional service, and in fact, we already have!
The room is nice! I am staying in a studio apartment for 14 days and I don’t feel uncomfortable at all. The apartment is literally in front of the bus station that can take you central London. The service here is excellent! In particular, my waiter Zail and the caretaker Jean Michel. They truly make me feel comfortable during my extended stay
I don't often review hotels but I've felt compelled to after recent experiences. I my opinion this hotel is in decline. I've stayed here many times over the past 18 months due to convenience and while it's not the worst hotel, it certainly isn't the best by a long way. For example it is incredibly frustrating to be given a room where the air conditioning isn't working, so it's baking with no option to open a window. Being offered a noisy portable air cooler that can't vent outside is not a viable option when in need of a good night's sleep. Basically this hotel is hit and miss both in regards if the facilities and the service. The last stay I asked a couple of times for things that were missing from the room and they never appeared. This isn't the first time that requests have been lost to the ether. Guests used to be greeted with a free bottle of vino, then that became a voucher for free glass at the bar and now it's a discount token for the least atmospheric bar in London that isn't even owned by the hotel. There used to be bottles of water in the fridge and now tiny water cartons are provided often resulting in a trip to the shop to buy water. Breakfast is overpriced and a free one is NOT a solution to cold showers. I wonder what this place was like when it was 5 stars? Checking in, can be time consuming and the staff appear to struggle with the hotel systems. No matter how many times I stay at this hotel, the reception team treat me like a stranger since the turnover is so rapid. Last stay I was given keys that didn't work, as did my colleague. I've noticed that the standards appear to be slipping over time. It's a shame because if they could sort out the niggles this has the potential to be a lovely hotel. Also, many of the rooms have poor ventilation in the bathrooms, faulty towel rails and cracked shower tiles meaning that the rooms often smell of mould which is grim. It's relief to find a room that doesn't smell of mould on arrival. Are there worse hotels in London? Absolutely. Could this hotel be better? 1000% yes. Is it value for money? It used to be. Now it's expensive and low grade.
I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the exceptional customer service I received from Victoria during my recent stay. I arrived earlier than the usual check-in time, hoping to decorate the room for my partner’s birthday. Even though check-in wasn’t until 3 pm, Victoria went above and beyond to accommodate my request. She worked hard to find a room and even upgraded me to a more expensive one at no additional cost, which made my day! When I walked into the room, I was absolutely speechless – it was stunning! It was my third stay at this hotel, and every time I leave more impressed than the last. Thank you for making this special occasion even more memorable. I truly appreciate the outstanding service.
The room we had, supposed to be a double, is far from satisfactory. The carpet got multiple stains and furniture either chipped or peeled. I even found a used cup and spoon left with some yellow dried out residue inside the cupboard as if it had been cleaned which really put me off. There’s not much space to open our suitcases inside the room, not much space inside the bathroom to put our toiletries or clothes and the stopper doesn’t drain so I have to remove but then have to be careful nothing will accidentally go down the drain.
This is my second time staying at Dorsett Shepherds Bush, and once again they did not disappoint. I have asked beforehand for any special arrangements because it was my cousin’s birthday, and a free room upgrade decorated with balloons, brownies, a huge cake made out of towels and a personalized letter was waiting for us when we checked in!! But what made our stay amazing was Maria, a HUGE thanks to Maria personally for making our stay amazing. Truly Maria was the best host of all time and she most definitely deserves a raise!!! Would definitely come back again for the wonderful service and amazing Maria.
The location is perfect very close to Westfield,the room was very spacious and clean with a nice view. The staff was very welcoming to this effect I want to extend my sincere thanks to Sihem and Abdel for their professionalism and kindness they were incredibly friendly. I had a fantastic stay and felt very well taken care of. I hope to visit again soon Keep up the great work
