Welcome to St Pauls Hotel, Hammersmith, London.
A stylish boutique hotel conveniently located near the well connected Hammersmith tube and bus station, Kensington Olympia exhibition halls and Westfield shopping mall. Directly outside the hotel are the buses 9, 10 and 27, each taking a scenic route to Central London’s famous sites, as well as Kensington Palace, Harrods and Notting Hill Gate. Heathrow is just over a 20 minute drive.

The building was originally St. Pauls School and was designed by Alfred Waterhouse in 1884, the architect of the Natural History Museum. Each room is unique and encompasses the original character of building with some rooms having the original fire place. The rooms are elegantly decorated, yet comfortable and welcoming. Among the amenities are satellite TV, a minibar and safe.

St. Pauls was the location of the historic meeting of Eisenhower, Montgomery and Winston Churchill to plan the D Day landings.

The hotel was also the setting of the 1971 film “Melody”, an international cult film about youth and lost love.

It’s a lovely hotel, but it feels like a very quirky and funny shape at reception level. I wasn’t clear where there was any space to do work. My room 29 was very clean and spacious, and I would definitely stay there again. There was coffee, but no bottled water. The whiskey bar is great if you love whiskey. There’s no bar except in the restaurant- but no standing area. Food was good. No beer on tap.
I choice this hotel among other after I red the reviews and checked the rooms with zero expectation that I will be stayed 5 nights in a very small tiny room on third floor. I came to spend my anniversary at this hotel but unfortunately it was below my expectation, i didn’t like the room at all and I contacted the reception to change my room and they promised to do. However, for 3 nights I was requested to find better room but they couldn’t even help or support they had zero experience for how to make visitors happy on they stay. And one guy was very disrespectful. Worst experience and stayed on my entire life i will never come backs to this bad hotel. Rooms: Third floor rooms are bad and look small
Great stay at this quaint traditional hotel in a beautiful building. Service great throughout. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but my other half made great use of the amazing whiskey bar! My negroni wasn’t bad either!!! Location is perfect for Olympia but for central London it is about half hour by tube. However it would be a nice hotel just to have a night away.
Great room, friendly service but the hotel needs a bit an attention for maintenance. 5 The reception carpet doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned in years, the lift doesn’t work so you need to walk three flights of stairs, not ideal, and definitely not for people with mobility issues. Be aware the hotel does not have parking facilities and the local Novatel hotel is a total rip off paid £70 for one night parking. Rooms: Room & bathroom was lovely, def the luxury feel they advertise. It could soo with a little maintenance, much like the rest of the hotel….oh and the safe needs to be bolted to the wall, not just put in a shelf in the cupboard. Noteworthy details: the hotel is quaint but they def don’t have wheelchair or walker friendly facilities.
A very lovely hotel with a nice neighborhood, everything is nearby, the Earl court train station is a few minutes walk, and there is a park nearby. it has suck a wonderful garden. The rooms are a bit small but it’s nice for a quick stay! There a quiet a number of restaurants and grocery stores around it as well!Rooms: 4/5
An enchanting place to stay..authentic building. Bus stop outside the hotel Good choice at breakfast..pity no toaster. Breakfast does run short..so needs topping up Can order wide selection of cooked breakfasts
I didn't have a room here, this review is for the restaurant and the Whiskey Bar at the Melody Restaurant. Great location, great service & staff, and really enjoyed the food from the basic menu on this particular evening. I would definitely go again when I'm next in that neck of the woods.
Beautiful looking hotel and a great whisky bar. However, the one thing I expect from any hotel is a decent night's sleep. We were in room 6 and there is little in the way of sound proofing, so very noisy to the early hours and again first thing in the morning. Mattress very firm and pillows lumpy Shame as everything else was spot on.
We really enjoyed our weekend stay in this hotel. Walkable distance to Hammersmith tube, bus station right in front of the hotel, lovely outside seating, rooms were great, comfortable bed. The continental breakfast was good, very London priced though. Overall, I would definitely return. Rooms: Quiet rooms, enough space, big mirror at the wardrobe, had kettle and tea and coffee, mini fridge with two bottles of water. Walkability: 10 min walk to Hammersmith tube
Awwwww what a lovely place. So glad we booked here, it is just beautiful! We went to a wedding nearby and this made a fantastic place to stay the night. Lovely staff, gorgeous garden area, beautiful room and lovely breakfast. Thank you all for making us welcome. miss this already.
