Diego 10

Story

For football fans, a fresh Glaswegian clothing brand with a unique focus on legends of the game (both Scottish and International), iconic revolutionaries and elements of Scottish humour is beginning to make a name for itself among across the country.

Diego10 is run by John Scott, a one-time designer of football t-shirts for clubs such as Celtic, Rangers and Hibs who now runs his own brand in dedication to his idol, Diego Maradona. These days current football tops cost £50 and are out of fashion within 12 months, while John’s shirts are timeless and somehow
manage gain authenticity after each wash!

“There are plenty of differences between us and your usual sports stores,” states John, “but the main one is that we only deal with football.”

Many a football fan has made the mistake of throwing out an old top only to regret it years later when the same worn-out jersey somehow manages to gain fashionable credibility under the heading retro or old-school and somehow becomes common Friday night attire. When it comes to football, the kits worn by iconic teams and players bring a sense of nostalgia for those who were around to see them, but when we’re talking about Brazil ‘70 or Mexico ‘78 or England ’66 (anyone?) it’s safe to say that not many of us were around to see these teams play.

For the younger guys, the love for old football shirts comes down to the love for the game, respect for the legends and to remind ourselves that there was life before lavish car-fetishes, Gillette Mac III sponsorship deals, Carlos Tevez and £250,000 weekly pay cheques. Alright then... they just look smart as, don’t they?

Delighted, had 2 of their t-shirts in the past and have just bought another 2. For £22 each you are getting a quality t shirt with a very cool design regardless of which side of Glasgow you support. The guys at the counter are helpful and if you're into your italian football, or football in general the older guy guy at the silverburn counter will indulge you. All in all, I'll definitely be a more regular customer!
My partner was at the Silverburn stall looking for a t-shirt for our son. The guy who served her was very rude and blunt saying a small would never fit our 10 year old. Flailing his hands around in attitude. I would not recommend if that's the kind of way they treat potential customers
I bought a Celtic t-shirt for my husband yesterday at the stall in Buchanan galleries the quality of the material on mannequin look and feel brill I took one home dark green with like the ramones logo but with the celtic legends on it I opened it and it was nothing like the material on mannequin and very poor printing get cheap looking I have been buying t-shirts from here for a couple of years but the quality of the tshirt us very poor I will be returning this one if I dont get a refund I will exchange for a smaller one and just give it my daughter I will not be giving this to my husband for his b'day and at £20 defo not worth the money
Some of the best and most original retro football gear, well worth a look
I have been buying T shirts from this place for years but have recently seen the quality of T shirt decline very badly
great selection of Scottish football t-shirts
Excellent quality
