I stayed at the hotel for a work visit. It is very tastefully done, spacious and very fresh. The staff were cheerful and welcoming- and upon swift check-in, i was shown to my room. The room was very spacious, and clean. The temperature and heating appears to be centrally controlled- so there are no individual thermostats in the room which is completely fine. The bar is nice and well-equipped for both cold and hot drinks. The restaurant also serves dinner with limited options. The lounge of the hotel is so tastefully done and cosy. The breakfast was served after the table- was hot- and delicious vegan breakfast. There are also juice, water, other small bits laid out for self-help. Coffee was promptly available upon asking. All in all, it is was a wonderful stay, very comfortable, and i wont hesitate to stay with them again. 10/10 points for everything. Rooms: Spacious rooms Walkability: 7 mins walk from the East Didsbury station Noteworthy details: Wonderful art although- cosy hotel
I attended a recent event, cosy venue, nice rooms large fridges. Toilets are a bit hard to find downstairs, and small in size but lovely amenities are provided. Missed breakfast, unfortunately . I've rated the location 5 stars as my mate Rowenut reminded me and my wife it's close to the airport on numerous occasions without us asking . The smoking area could be better. The service was excellent, Night Ian x
I had a lovely stay yesterday in room 25 and had a warm welcome from the staff. Grateful for the lovely touch in printing out my presentation notes. Would highly recommend it. I loved the fish and chips. Clean environment and had a lovely sleep.Rooms: 5/5
I stayed here for one night for a working visit. My first impressions of the hotel were excellent - fairly limited parking but there were still some spaces, even arriving quite late in the evening. The building itself is a lovely Victorian villa, with an impressive entrance hall. Check-in was quick and efficient, and I was in my room soon after arriving. I had apparently been upgraded for free - the room was very impressive, in a luxurious boutique style, with a large bath in the room. There was plenty of space, seating, pleasant warm lighting and a good if slightly expensive mini-bar selection. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were free. Unfortunately, despite the luxury of the room, I had a really bad night's sleep for two reasons. The first is really personal preference so I don't want to mark the hotel down - but the bed was very soft, and the pillows even softer, which made them very difficult to mould into a comfortable and supportive position. The second reason I slept badly was the temperature of the room. Despite the radiator and towel rail being off, and the window being wide open, the room was really hot and did not cool much overnight. The whole hotel was overly warm for me - especially the breakfast room. After a night in my hot room, and a hot shower, I was really overheating during breakfast. Breakfast itself was very nice - mostly table service, with a very small buffet with some pastries, juice, fruit and cereal. I was a bit worried about waiting for table service since I had to get into my office by a set time, but it was very quiet and service was quick so I had no problems. I would probably choose another local hotel if I had to re-visit, but that is really because of my preference for bed/pillow comfort, and temperature. If you aren't too sensitive about these things, then this is an absolutely perfect hotel and a real joy to stay in.
Didn't stay here, but attended a private dining event with work. Though some colleagues stayed and said it was lovely. Beautiful hotel, staff lovely and food was excellent. I have been previously to a family wedding which was a lovely setting. Nearby activities: Close to Didsbury village and across from Towers Business Park. It's a few minutes walk to East Didsbury train station where you can get into Manchester City Centre in 15 mins or to Manchester Airport in 10 mins. Walkability: 5 mins to Didsbury Village. 5 mind East Didsbury Train station Food & drinks: Lovely food
Great hotel! Room was clean. Restaurant prices are okay. Rooms: It is clean. And I think there are bathtub in every room. Safety: After 11 o’clock, they lock the door of the hotel. Walkability: 10 mins walk to East Didsbury station. Easy access to airport. Food & drinks: Good prices.
Lovely hotel on a quiet road in Didsbury. Nice bathroom with large shower. Would recommend.Rooms: 4/5
We had our wedding breakfast and reception at didsbury house hotel and it was better than we could have hoped for! Everything ran so smoothly, the staff were so accommodating and friendly and helpful the entire process. The food was amazing - people were saying how nice the menu sounded and were even more impressed with how it all looked and tasted - it really was perfect. Jenny from the events team had multiple meetings with us before the day to make sure we knew exactly what the plans were and were comfortable with them and pointed us to things to think about where we had no clue as she’s such an expert!! Our wedding coordinator on the day Shemek was such a pleasure and couldn’t do enough for any of our guests. Not only were the venue, food and staff outstanding but the venue looks so amazing in all the photographs - we couldn’t be more pleased. It’s in a great spot and easily accessible by train / tram and car and the bedrooms were all clean and so comfortable. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough - we will definitely be back to celebrate future events!
We recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at the Didsbury House Hotel, and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the experience. From the very beginning, Jenny the organiser was incredibly responsive, helpful, and made sure every detail was covered - even things we hadn't thought about. On the day, Rick the coordinator was flawless - he was incredibly helpful, lovely, and ensured everything ran smoothly. The team catered to all dietary requirements, with signs everywhere, which made our guests feel valued and appreciated. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful - the decorations so we didn’t need to spend anything to decorate it!, the comfort, and the overall vibe were perfect. The food and drink were delicious and exceeded our expectations. Overall, our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and we can't thank the team at Didsbury House Hotel enough for their hard work and dedication. From start to finish, they made the experience seamless and unforgettable. We would highly recommend Didsbury House Hotel to anyone looking for the perfect venue for their special day.
The room was mezzanine with the bed upstairs and a massive free standing bath at the end of the bed. The pillows seem to envelope my head but still give support... wow! The service is great with a warm welcome and superb food. The steak tagliatta dinner last night was superb and can't wait for breakfast in the morning! Great boutique hotel with quirky rooms and classic touches. Love the inglenook feel of the book cases and the lighting is very chilled. I'd definitely stay again
