Do not appear to of received the sofa that we ordered when it arrive they unpacked the sofa did not remove the transit straps. Plugged in the sofa tested the foot rest said yes it works and they where gone.my wife and I tried it fully reclined it my wife's motor stopped working mine just bussed. We had a he'll of a job to get off it.went to the store explained to store manager What problem we had showed him attached photos he got on to the repair people. who said they would phone sometime this week to book to come and sort the problem .they phoned that evening to say that their repair guy David would be with us between 8am_and1pm to fix it. The store manager couldn't be more helpful and sorted the problem very well.
Like most people, my experience is not great either. They have delivered a set of Sofa with scratches in them. I was a bit lazy not to report them straight away. Then the leg is broken with in few months. I have asked them to repair this. It took them just over a month to get someone to see the item and repair. The guy didn't turn up on time and couldn't wait 10 minutes so I had to re-arrange. I have complained no one responded. Re-arranged again for another person to turn up. The guy advised for full replacement. Then I had a call from Slough store manager to go and choose a Sofa for replacement in case I want something different. I was told I will get a call back next day. I have visited the store to decide. They have ghosted me again. Then I have emailed to chase up. Then got a response from the area manager that I will not be eligible for replacement. They have to send another guy for repair. It's so frustrating dealing with them. They will tell you one thing today and do something else next day. I really regret buying the Sets from them. Stay away from them.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and displayed a good knowledge of the products they were selling. You feel under no pressure to buy and and are told all the pros and cons before you buy. Wayne was very helpful and explained everything perfectly, making our buying experience really good.
Manager Sam and his “new” member of staff guaranteed my husband that the couch we wanted to purchase would be washed as it was dirty and that delivery was guaranteed in two days and then from there the story changed repeatedly that the couch would take 2 weeks to deliver and that the couch would NOT be cleaned and that maybe after deliver would be possible depending on which payment plan we choose. Nothing less than a good scam waiting to happen. Won’t be going there ever again.
So disappointed I ordered a electric recliner near 2000£, wait for nearly 3 month to get delivered. The first time they deliver my sofa, the lift is a little small so the sofa can’t fit that, the two delivery guys refused to move it by the stairs because it’s bad for their health. I totally understand and said I would offer a hand, because I live on only 1st floor and the sofa is not very heavy, my wife could move it on floor by herself, they still refused to do so. Then it’s fine, the manager said the warehouse would remove the arm of the sofa and deliver again. Then I waited for another 2 or 3 weeks to expect the redelivery, then they delivered the parts of my sofa, said they only responsible for the delivery not responsible for the installation. Then I waited another few days, another engineer came my home and finish the installation. I don’t know whether it’s due to the dismantlement, the sofa is very unstable, even my wife move a little I can few her, and the arm is even shakable, very poor delivery service and bad quality, and very bad customer service, I can’t even get connected with them by phone.
It’s almost 2 years we had over sofa, quality wise we have No complaints but money we have paid for after sale care protection was waste. They never respond back, for any minor or major issue they send you 15 pagess form to fill then etc etc. worth not paying and not believing what they say at the time of placing the order
I ordered some dining chairs from dfs. staff was very helpful n friendly but when it came to delivery it was disaster. i had a call to confirm the date for delivery. I wasn't off so I had to take day off without pay and I had call that they can't deliver today so then my boyfriend to take next day off without pay this was really very bad. we loosed 2 days pay just to get the delivery.
Spent over £3000 on sofas that the leather started pealing off i reported it within the warranty and several engineers came and left telling me they are going to order different parts and now I’m receiving an email saying that they will charge me for the repair that has been on going for months. I have requested for head office to get back to me but just been ignored. Shame on you. As a big company you should gain customers trust not rip them off.
Would never recommend DFS slough. I placed an order for a dinning table that was subjected to confirmation due to some price discrepancy. Any way they took my deposit and told me once they confirm the priced they will call me and upon my instructions they will confirm the order. Before they would call me I changed my mind as I found the dinning table is bit bigger for my room so I asked them to refund my monies but the Manager named Sam refused to do so. He said they dont refund deposit despite they have 7 days cooling off period written on their website. Eventually I had no choice either to loose my money or buy something else so I decided to buy a cheap looking overly priced bed and ask the to finance the remaining balance which Sam the liar said he did but it was never the case. Next day they call me bed is ready to be delivered so pay the remaining and again they didn't listen to me and I had to pay them the remaining balance as there was no finance applied for. And now its been weeks I am awaiting the bed, I called them several times and paid visit in person to their show room but all they have for me is I have to wait for the delivery as they cant give me any definite date. I would suggest to buy furniture from Next or other branded shops, DFS is not a trustworthy place to buy, their staff is apparently friendly but not trust worthy especially the Manager SAM the LIAR is not at all worth it to do business with.
I ordered a mattress in October and was told it was an estimated 4 week delivery. Online tracking confirmed it was due on 25/11 and stated out for delivery. I did not receive a call to book a delivery slot and therefore chased it up. Over the next four weeks I made approximately 12 phone calls and sent 5 emails. Each time I was told something different, ranging from my item had been shipped to I was 12th in a queue. I was also told repeatedly my issue had been escalated and someone would call me back, which never happened. I eventually went into the store 5 times within one week to try and get to the bottom of what was happening, and again was told a number of different things, including an assistant manager Sam telling me it was confirmed to be in the warehouse, it just hadn’t been scanned onto the system. My last visit was on Friday 16th where the store manager Jamie told me I was back to being 6th in the queue and the delay was due to logistics as items were made outside of the uk, stating most mattresses come from Poland, something I later found out to be untrue. He also made unprofessional remarks about the lack of understanding and therefore competency of his staff I had spoken to throughout the wee, however Wayne was the only person who actually contacted me back as promised throughout this ordeal. I then ordered the same mattress through an online supplier for less than what was paid to DFS. I ordered this on 16/12 and received the order on 20/12. The level of customer service has been appalling from start to finish. I have had to chase answers non-stop over the last 4 weeks and the answers given varied with each new person I spoke to. DFS should not be taking orders for items with such a backlog or should be advising customers of this when placing an order, and then updating them regularly. I would not purchase any other items from this company, and would not recommend anyone else to either.
