Extremely disappointed with the service received. I feel like ripping the carpets out and putting it in the bin. That is how bad the service was. Nobody deserves such a rubbish service. I will never ever recommend this store or its installers to anyone. :Full story here with pics: We had the AHF slough come down to take measurements and recommend us what is required for our new carpets. This went very well. We then placed the order. Unfortunately this is where the pleasant stuff ended. We had plumbing done, followed by painters and so there was a slight delay to our earlier accepted date. We requested to change our date to install carpet but was turned down. Thanks to our decorators we got it sorted to get the carpet installers in. This is where it went from bad to worse. The installers without asking our permission removed the doors and then pointed out that we cannot close any of the doors or wardrobe doors because of the carpet thickness. When we asked them if the doors can be trimmed? Guess what they do not have the tools!! This was followed by exchange of what was in our contract what was not and so on. I then had to call the store so they can talk to the installers. To our surprise the store who initially told us if any work is required the installers will be happy to do but at a charge now tell us that we did not take the option. I have attached the picture of the receipt clearly showing £90 for trimming the doors! After speaking to the store for a long time they said they can only do this on Sept 22, 15 days after installing the carpet!!!!!!!!!! The worse was yet to come. The master bedroom door removed was kept against the wall. When I told them I have a toddler at home and this is a major risk. The installer now wanted to rip the carpet and install the door back! I hope I had never gone to AHF. I just hate looking at those carpets from my experience of dealing with the installers and the store. Did I forget? They also left rubbish from new carpet installtion after installing them at our door and I now need to dispose it.
Dubious and crooked sales method. I went in with my wife to check wardrobe for our new house. I told the sales man that I was unsure of the measurements of the room and we might need to return with more accurate measurements but I should him the floor plan and he said he can work out what we will need. Trusting him we decided to go with his calculations. We spent 3hrs in store because he was using tablet to place the order. At the end we paid £186 for deposit the took the rest on finance. He conducted the whole process without mentioning the store had a no cancellation policy on any order. We only found out when we got home to measure the space for the wardrobe, only to discover that the wardrobe will be too wide for the space. We called the store to cancel the order but store manager in a rude way told me to read the contract we sign. He claimed that they will not be able to cancel the order but 2 days later asked us to forfeit our deposit. I already saw that coming based on reviews and advice from people with similar experience with the store. I'm starting a campaign on social media for people to boycott AHF products. They claimed that it's going to cost them same amount to cancel the order.
Very disappointed with the service received by AHF. We thought we had ordered electric recliner sofas just before Christmas 2014. The sales person incorrectly placed our order for manual recliner not once but twice got the colour wrong, black instead of chestnut and also charged us more than originally quoted. Anyway got that corrected while in store. Then when they delivered our sofa they delivered manual ones instead of electric.We were unaware of this at the time We called AHF to explain the misunderstanding but they said they can not change the goods as we signed for what we ordered.We are very upset, we are now lumbered with sofas that we did not want because of the incompetance of a staff who does not know how to place an order correctly, I mean if we knew that we were supposed to read "Power Sofa" on our receipt instead of just "Recliner" not even "Manual Recliner", we could of gone back and corrected our order. Will never go back to AHF, and please check your orders fully before you leave!!
Ordered Sofas and table for a confirmed delivery date. Now been told it will be delayed. Can't even cancel and buy them elsewhere as they have a no cancellation policy yet you can return the goods!!??? This place is a bit of a joke as they are more than happy to promise and set a great expectation but will under deliver when they've taken payment. Will be taking this further as seems like I'm not the only one complaining here. Oh btw the depot is in Peterborough...says it all really
If I could leave no stars, I would- this place is full of condensing liars who say whatever they want to sell the product and then do NOT deliver. I came here to purchase a dining set and sideboard with my aunt, on the day we were served by a man called Sanjeev who promised that the product would arrive in 6 weeks and hastily took the order order value £2300. We were told we would get 2 chairs free and yet on reflection of the invoice, we were charged in full. My aunt is an elderly lady and she was quite clear that she needed the product as soon as possible and we were told it would arrive within 6 weeks. 6 weeks rolled by, and then 7 weeks and not a single call from AHF to inform us that the order would be late or anything! So we called and tried to establish the status of the order, we were told that we should have read the fine print and that it could now take up to 10 weeks. This was not the end of the world- except this was NEVER mentioned in store so we accepted the fact. Anyways, the 10 week deadline came and went, it has now been 4 months since the order was placed, countless hours chasing the order over the phone as well as visiting the store and yet no products have arrived. I have personally spoken with a man called Sarabjit from this store, when I asked him when we could expect the delivery or what he proposed as the resolution, he rudely replied 'what do you want?!' How about the fact that we would like the products we have PAID for, how about a clear deadline on delivery or some compassion and accountability? I escalated the issue to the store manager Akhtar who originally seemed concerned about our grievance but very quickly fell in line with the other incompetent members of staff who do not return calls and think it is acceptable to speak rudely to customers. On one occasion when speaking with Sarabit, I asked why we had been assured the product would arrive in 6 weeks when it was clearly not the case- his response 'how can you prove that someone in this team said that?'...I mean REALLY?! I have learnt when dealing with this company and these people in particular, it is best to record all conversations! I would like to add that even after 4 months of this process, I generously offered the store manager an opportunity to rectify the situation by sending us the items that were available apparently the table and sideboard and removing the chairs from the order as they seemed to be the hold up. I told him we could purchase chairs elsewhere if he could deliver the other items and discount appropriately. His 'discount' for the chairs was an insult, in fact this man can't even do simple math as I calculated the items individually based on the prices published online and he was STILL trying to rip us off- the audacity is simply astonishing. Ultimately, after 4 months of grief, we cancelled our order and will be taking our business elsewhere. DO NOT SHOP HERE, IT IS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!!!
This was worst experience i have with this store. I had to follow up with team for my sofa delivery. While booking they said i will get sofa in 3 weeks time and then after three weeks it changed to 8 weeks and then at 8 weeks it changed to 12 weeks. I am still awaiting the dilivery date at week 10 of my order. i dont understand while buying they have date but once ordered suddenly the date goes unknown. From one merchant while buying they get 25 merchants who do not give these guys dates of delivery.Also dont understand how can very common colour like black and recliner get out of stock ...the marketing guys will tell u 100s of reason , will tell u it is not in their hands abt delivery , they need to confirm with head office ,or warehouse ... & what not.... Absolutely Rubbish service.. Will Never recommend to anybody...
Carpetfitter burst through our water pipe, AHF won't help! _________________________________________________________ We purchased 2 carpets from AHF included their fitting service. Their fitter nailed right through our hot water pipe causing CONSIDERABLE damage to our kitchen ceiling. AHF have been extremely reluctant to help us. They claimed that the issue was between us and the carpet fitter so we had to deal with his insurers directly. We took matters higher in the company and were assured by Mr Craig Harbisher that he would help expedite this issue and would in fact be happy to help yet 6 weeks later we have made no progress at all. We are now resigned to claiming on our own home insurance, losing the £350 excess and having to pay more for the repairs that our coverage allowed. Buyers Beware - AHF will gladly take your money but appear to do everything they can to shirk responsibility in correcting problems that they or their contractors may have caused.
Absolutely awful. I ordered a sofa and a table and chairs in November. I didn't get the sofa until February and i am STILL waiting for the table and chairs. The answer i have eventually from Head office after several unanswered e-mails is that the reason i don't have the items is because they are coming from the Middle East and will not arrive until MAY. Do not buy from this company, it's a complete and utter shambles.
DO NOT GO THERE!!!! I cannot stress enough, if you are thinking of visiting AHF Slough DO NOT BOTHER! Ordered wooden flooring in July/17 and the job of fitting was subletted to ARUN fitting who subletted to someone else who completely ruined my home. Wonky floor, laid incorrectly, cuts everywhere, glue on existing carpets, removed half of my existing toilet and bathroom lino, cut and shut boards round corners and the list goes on. They offered me a measly £400 discount afterwards which after extreme length of complaining and house visits became £750 which I am still to get!! I have been lied to constantly throughout this terrible experience and the fact that the staff turn around there means you speak to one person one week and they are gone the next, I am having to seek advice from the furniture ombudsman with regards to getting my money which is owed to me. They declined to give me a cheque in September, then offered me a cheque last week which I accepted this was signed off by store area manager Bill Mckew only to revoke that offer today. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE this company is an absolute farce and im sure they will be in administration in the near future. AVOID at all costs, take my word and experience for it. I am to speak with Craig Harbeshire on Monday to try and resolve the issue by means of a cheque being sent. I will update after my phone call and let you know how it goes.
Terrible service. Terrible products. I wouldn't recommend anybody use them. The head office is also the worst. This is by far the worse experience, 3 sofas in 2 years The 3rd chair I was waiting nearly 25 weeks for. The first two faded within 6 months. They were QUICK enough to take my money but will need a week or so to be refunded. Word of advice STAY AWAY FROM AHF. With any luck the company with go bust.
