We decided to get a new sofa so pipped in here, the staff are always friendly especially Frank, he's really funny. We found a sofa we liked, unfortunately it wouldn't fit in our front room, but I'd say if you are looking for a sofa then this is the place to go.
The two guys I met were very helpful and knowledgeable as I needed to make sure the sofa I wanted broke down to fit in my flat. Went through all the options and had a new sofa in an hour plus 3 months build time....... Looking forward to it arriving and will update this then
Absolutely appalling service from these people a polite word I brought a sofa a year ago. Since then they’ve had to send 2 people out to re stitch it up as it’s falling apart. The second time they arranged a visit with me and then 3 days before the visit rang to say it hadn’t actually been booked in! So when the second guy came out to look at it they now tell me they need to have 4 hours allocated on it so they can stitch it back up, take it apart basically…in my house and on my time of course!….. another day off work! So here I am trying to arrange this visit I had to call them to arrange because they’d clearly forgotten about me and I’m now told that I have to wait about 6 weeks before I can get this visit as they are so busy. Well firstly what I find off is that they are so busy rectifying peoples damaged furniture…. Doesn’t look good does it? And more importantly why do DFS even have a service that repairs damaged furniture… doesn’t say much about their products does it. So they send me faulty goods and here I am having to chase them to rectify it. Absolute joke! No compensation for my time wasted then DFS???? Update on my review… after god knows how many months of not getting off their backs, I have finally been contacted by a lady called Kelly at DFS who has ordered me a new sofa to be delivered. Thank you Kelly!!! You’ve been the only person who I have felt has been on my side and helped me actually get the problem resolved, you also made the effort to actually contact ME. It’s not been delivered as yet though! Watch this space….
Fairly good selection and we found a suitable sofa but you really have to do the work yourself as staff are not as informed as you might expect. We ordered online eventually as it was far easier.
Very quite shop most of the staff seem to avoid you as you look round which is a good thing as I like to look with out someone trying to make a sale but when you do need someone they are ready to help
I would seriously think twice before buying anything from this store. My partner paid £2,600 for 2 leather sofas which they guaranteed for 15 years within 3 weeks the stuffing was almost non existent. We went to the store and complained, was told that they don't give replacements or refunds. They sent a Service Engineer who was totally useless, to take look. My partner has been lied to so many times that we have lost count. They came and picked up the rubbish masquerading as two leather sofas. He made a deal to take £1,800 as a refund, first he was told the money would take a week, then later yet another week. Eventually he had to phone them and was told it would take yet another week, with that he lost his rag a bit. Within an hour of the phone call he eventually got his money back. We will NEVER EVER have dealings with DFS again, and we advise people to do the same.!
Went in there today with the family to buy a new sofa bed nobody come to help us. Whilst we waited by the staff to be seen we was ignored and they went straight past us a number of time to see people who looked like they had loads of money. Sorry if we are not your type to look at. We just a heads up we went over to SCS in the same estate and spent over £3000. They have great customer service in there. So to the owners of DFS I would sort the staff out because you are losing business for you.
Really good place to go look for a sofa because.. got left alone to browse, an assistant asked once if we needed any help and when we said no thanks,that was that, we were just told we could sit, lay, flop on anything and just ask someone if we needed them. That is how I like to browse, no hassle no hard sale no bs just let me look about. Eventually found something we liked, spoke to a guy named Chris who was very helpful, got some sizes and options and went home and ordered online. Job done
Store staff no issues but customer support terrible. Brand new settee delivery which was faulty and returned the same day. Will not shop again.
