Story

David Phipp House Furnisher is situated 6 miles north of Bournemouth in Ferndown, Dorset where we have been trading for over 44 years. We are one of the South’s leading Independent Furniture Retailers and our showrooms are still proudly owned by David & Anne Phipp.

We started by opening a small, second-hand furniture shop in Parley Cross in 1972. Then, in 1980, we expanded by purchasing a premises in Glenmoor road in Ferndown and in 1984, a further shop at Longham. In 1992, we purchased the Welcome Lodge Hotel on Ringwood Road, Ferndown and this was transformed into the showrooms as you see them today. Over the 44 years, the showrooms have grown into one of the most prestigious in the South, with over 30,000 sq feet, offering traditional and contemporary furniture including beds and bedroom collections.

We are proud of displaying some of the leading manufactures including, Duresta, Parker Knoll, Ercol, G-Plan, Stressless, Hartmann, Vi-Spring, Tempur and Somnus. The recently opened Outlet Studio gives customers the opportunity to purchase furniture for half price with immediate delivery.

The welcoming Balcony Café at the heart of the showroom serves Italian coffee, speciality teas, light lunches and a range of cakes.

Better prices than it may appear from the outside. A lack of more fashionable furnishings seems to be aimed towards the older customer. Has a nice small cafe.

We was rather disappointed that there was no beds in this lovely show room made by Hypnos. But it is a lovely place to look around. And the coffee shop inside looked quite interesting as well.

When you go to David Phipp you would expect quality products but what you get is told that will have todo when there supplier is Sherborne you again would have expected quality you could not have been more wrong and disappointed 
We ordered the Sherborne Keswick 3 seater and a 2 seater this was first ordered in a new material that Sherborne was not able to produce out of the 5 pieces 1 was ok then the unit was returned but only 2 were ok it was then decided that they would use a material they had used before in the hope that the quality could be made when the unit was returned they were unable to produce the quality of all 5 unit
Was then told by David Phipp that we would have accept and we would not get a refund 

I asked for the email of Mr David Phipp via an email as I could not get his direct one
I then sent some data to be passed on to him if he did not want to give his email but have had no reply 

I also sent the data to Sherborne so to be passed on to there directors again no reply 

So as a warning be vey cautious when buying from any of the above as they do not give quality when it goes wrong
