Lidl

Great shop ,still have problems finding if dry sweet full bodied and sometimes the price . Someone must be reading me wittering on about things or its a coincidence , only things are improving in the wine dept , most things appear to be priced now . If I can remember to take my specs I'll be able to read what it says on the ticket , all I have to do now is get them to stock the best bitter brewed a couple of hundred yards away and I'll be as happy as a pig in xxxx . Happy days .

Easy access and free car park. Good range of products with friendly staff, clean and we'll looked after store.

Has some good deals but not a place I would shop regularly as it doesn't carry the more specialist ingredients I use.

Its been open a good few years - so its small compared to the new stores they build now (e.g. Ringwood). Having said that, it carries a good representative range of their total stock. As noted by other reviewers, the veg isn't exactly 'fresh from the field' when it hits the shelves, so be cautious about its potential longevity. Some excellent bottles to be had in the wine department, and things like sweets and chocolate are great value for money. So are tinned and dry goods. Sometimes a bit of a wait to drudge through the tills, as they don't have self-checkouts. This can be a bit irksome if you've only got a basketful rather than a trolley load.

Not too busy at Ferndown branch today....but every time I visit I struggle with the rate at which my shopping is virtually thrown down the conveyor belt! I only wish that the Lidl shopping experience was less stressful.I know that quotas have to be met but for this reason it puts many of my friends off.
