I visit Milton Keynes often to see family but I do live in Coventry for Uni. I did have high hopes for this place as the staff in Coventry are extremely friendly, helpful and pleasant towards us which is very important and played a part in our decision to join...this place is a different story. Rude, uninterested staff who ignore us every time we walk through the door. I stood at the reception desk for almost ten minutes whilst three employees including the MANAGER walked past us to go into the back room. The guy that did eventually help us was completely disinterested in what I was asking, kept looking down at the computer screen, didn't even think to make eye contact with me, no smile, nothing. Brought my mom along as a guest and as we left, she said "goodbye" to two staff members who were obviously deep in a gossip session because they didn't even look at my mother or acknowledge her being nice to them. I'm absolutely appalled at this place having compared it to the staff at the Coventry facilities, there really is no comparison. At the prices we're paying for the services & facilities, the way we've been treated is horrendous and I'm absolutely gob smacked. And that's only ONE of the problems here. Teenagers in the pool & spa area during the "adult only" times shouting and screaming, gawking at my partner, the food is mediocre at best and the smell coming from the female changing rooms is dreadful. This is all such a shame because the facilities are actually top notch. The gym is very spacious and seems to be well kept, the indoor pool & spa area are again, very spacious and clean but they really need to reevaluate the staffing situation here - it's clear these kids running the front desk were picked off the street to run the joint without thought. Too many teeny boppers being the face of David Loyd...not good. All in all, probably won't be spending much more time here when I come to visit family as it's horribly unwelcoming and manages to put me in a bad mood. Update: Manager spoke with me about my concerns and acknowledged them. Also let me know that she would relay the info to the employees etc which is all good and well. Whilst I understand that different places breed different types of people, I still stand with the fact that representing a brand means adhering to certain customs and I just hope our next visit will be more pleasant.

Great place. Many tennis and squash courts. The gym is ok. The selection of weight machines is limited. There are a lot of cardio ones though. The swimming pool and the spa areas are fantastic. If you can afford it, it's brilliant but for many it would be too pricey.

Played tennis as a guest. Excellent service from friendly and professional staff. Excellent value for money and quality facilities. Would fully recommend.

Getting too crowded. Most days the carpark is absolutely swarming, to the point people are parking where they are not supposed to. I will see how it goes for the rest of the year but then may not renew my (and family's) membership. Milton Keynes is crying out for another decent gym. Not sure why Virgin Active has not opened one here. Still a good sports club, however, with lots of good facilities.

This is a great gym, pool etc. but it is expensive. The value is ok if you use it a lot as they have everything you need and a bit more but if you don't use it regularly then it is money down the drain. Saying that...I love it😊 Three stars because of the cost.
