Darwin Forest Country Park

Went on a short break here after xmas, Amazing stay, The site is perfect, We took our two young children with us who also loved the place! First night we went to Foresters for food and it was amazing great value for money, The staff were perfect! Little monkeys again is great for the kids, Staff on point again always happy to help and always smiling, Had lovely nights in the hot tub and had a great chat with the staff when they come to service the hot tub which is done twice a day such nice people! I'm always honest on my posts and the only downside to Darwin Forest I could have is the bed was very hard BUT it gives you a great excuse to go in the hot tub in the morning! Overall our stay was great, Staff from all sides amazing, the walks and family time we shared was just what we needed! Can't wait to book again!

Ace, nice and quiet. Good little shop, didn't screw you over for being out the way. Friendly staff, very clean and tidy. Struggled a little with bringing our 8 month old, not a great deal of bedroom space, every single door and lock is thunderously loud, the hinges were like nails on a chalk board which woke our baby up (normally a pretty good sleeper). BUT.... Made up for by the walks, the soft play area and the pool. Lovely holiday!

Really well set out cabins. All with dish washers ,washers heating microwave etc. Different sizes 2 to 10 beds. Set in a beautiful woodland with plenty of wildlife. The site has an extensive gym and pool along with a bar that produces excellent food, meals and snacks. There is a well stocked shop and a young person's indoor play area. The site also offers bike hire and many other activities. It's like a mini centre parcs but better. Ll

Fabulous weekend break, first class welcome all through the weekend. Cabin was beautiful with everything thought of you might need. Andy ensured the hot tub was perfect everyday and had top advice when to use it. Reception staff on hand with advice and shop well stocked and not overpriced. Will definitely be returning for another stay it was perfect.

We happened to be there when it snowed! Fabulous time spent. Cosy and great fun going in the hot tub when it snowed. Good for children. Travel to nearby walking locations is easy. Go prepared with your usual shop as it can be expensive. Book early if you plan to dine in their restaurant it gets booked up quickly. Staff friendly and helpful. Pool is small but ideal for children. There are good play areas for children. A lovely get away haven.
