Bakewell Camping and Caravanning Club Site
Explore the beautiful Peak District National Park from our Bakewell club site.
If you’re looking for peace and quiet and wonderful views and enjoy walking and cycling, Bakewell Club campsite is for you. Its idyllic location near the pretty village of Youlgreave in the Peak District National Park offers a true back to nature camping experience. Campers report that the site’s minimum facilities are part of its appeal.
Bakewell campsite enjoys a peaceful, rural setting with stunning views over the Derbyshire countryside. The attractive site is excellently maintained and its 100 pitches are spacious, some benefitting from the shelter of trees which dot the site. There’s also a small dog walk and a children's play area.
Outdoor pursuits in the area around the campsite are not in short supply. Climbing, caving, horse riding and, of course, walking and cycling, are all available. Course fishing only 1/4 mile from site.
Bakewell town is just five miles from the site – try the pudding (not tart) and then visit Haddon Hall and the National Trust’s Ilam Park and on to Dovedale, an iconic and spectacular gorge carved out by the river Dore.
While camping at Bakewell Club Site, take time to witness the ancient custom of Well Dressing – the decorating of wells and springs with pictures made from natural materials. The wells can be seen from May to September.
Please note that this site has no toilet or showers, so you will need suitable facilities in your unit.
