Lovely quiet site, run by nice people. This is part of a working farm, which is why the shop is occasionally closed, but the facilities are good with new ones planned. Note that the entrance is not on intake lane but a short distance further down the road. You can see this on satellite view but not on maps.

Really lovely family run camp site on a working farm , with plenty of places to visit within a few minutes drive , or plenty of areas to explore on foot, ideal base for exploring the Peak District , but best of all just a place to sit and relax and recharge the batteries.

we've just got back from a lovely weekend camping at Birchwood farm. We've got 2 girls 4 and 8 and they loved it. our pitch was right next to the play area and we hardly saw them. Everywhere was spotless and everyone was really friendly and an excellent rate too. There's loads to do near by and I was confident my children were safe at all times. we will definitely be returning

Excellent campsite ideal for touring with children. Outdoor play area quite basic but sometimes less is more as it enables the kids to use there imagination. Lots of dens and hideaways. Also hidden secret rope swings in the woods. Also there are Table tennis tables in a play barn. Facilities on site include a small but well stocked shop, pot/dish washing sinks, toilets and showers. With lovely hot water throughout the day/night. 11pm noise curfew in place but not always adhered to.😣
