A great place for adults and kids a like. Loads for the kids to do. Large play areas, trails and sweet shops. They can also enjoy the ride on top deck of the trams :-) Lots of tram and some mine history to keeps the adults happy. Bring a picnic and some cash as there is no cash machine and not all shops have card machines. The best part is your ticket (once purchased) gives you unlimited entrance for 12 months and you can gift aid if you want. A little expensive (£17 for adults) for 1 day but if you come back within the year it's great value for money.

Absolutely love this place. I have three kids under 7, and the youngest is obsessed with trams so that ticks a major box. It’s great for locals that a single ticket lasts a full year. There’s also so much else to do here! The woodland sculpture trail is perfect for getting kids to embark on a walk. The playground is extensive and has options for a range of ages. The small soft play keeps mine entertained for a lot longer than many paid soft play complexes! Look out for their special event days: we went to a seaside one which had extra rides (additional charge) and some free street shows. My kids still talk about the flea circus!

This is a great place to bring the kids and Fido as dogs are allowed everywhere but the tea room. If when buying a ticket you agree to make the tax a donation (and why wouldn't you) then your ticket gets you in for the year. The trams are varied and the volunteers knowledgeable, the sweet shop reminds you of your childhood if a bit more expensive 10p certainly doesn't go as far as getting you a bag of sweets. That's is even a Pub playing old pub themes on a mechanical piano. Interestingly the pub is a bit of history too having been relocated brick by brick. Well why are you still reading this review get the kids and Did I in the car and get on over to the museum.

What a fantastic day out! You can spend the whole day here and have a great time as there is plenty to do for both adults and children. You can ride the trams as many times as you want, plus lots of historical trams to sit in and look at. Plenty of lovely walks with lots of sculptures (particularly fun for the little ones), play areas, picnic areas and plenty of places to get refreshments - including a lovely little ice cream shop! Even got a little indoor soft play area for when it rains. Well worth a visit - particularly on a sunny weekend!

A lovely day out with the children which would be even better if the weather was good. But go once and you can go back free within a twelve months period. For the dad's, there is also a pub within that does lovely beers and ales so kill two birds with one stone.
