Excellent visit much to see.Fantastic views across the valley. Some ruins and the Little Castle is inside. Audio excellent tells you all you need to know. Cost per adult £12 well worth the money. Lovely cafe too. In the summer months they have horse displays in the indoor riding stables. Only opens weekends until Easter then open daily till October.

Bolsover castle is a remarkable place, the main building itself is beautiful and a fun place to roam up and the the stairs, in and out of rooms, which are interconnected in a way that you can almost get lost and always discover something interesting. Then there's the garden which is simply enchanting, beautiful and petite. It's worth visiting the museum and the stables as well, we were lucky enough to see a dressage show as well. All that and the view from the castle - a beautiful day.

Certainly worth a visit. History here is thrilling....even if history isn't your thing. We didn't intend to stay as long as we did. ..considering it was a bitter cold day! Prices are reasonable 😊

Great day out, lots to see for all the family. Parking is terrible, be prepared to drive around in circles for half an hour. We signed up to English Heritage because with a family it's an expensive do just for the day. For a little more I got access to all castles etc for 15 months. Castle itself is huge with lots of places to explore. Loads of steps so although pushchairs and wheelchairs can access the site there's not actually much they can do once in there. The cafe is overpriced, service is slow and the food average. Only kids option was macaroni cheese which only 1 of my 5 kids took up. Shop is also massively overpriced. It was an enjoyable day out, we'll take a picnic next time though!

Great place to walk in the footsteps of some really interesting people who had a grand lifestyle. It's not crowded and location is really good. We definitely enjoyed our time at the castle.
