Brilliant small museum with good mixture of local history, social history and development of various items like cameras, typewriters and tools. Good for 2 hours or more.

Well worth an hour or two , plenty to see for all of the family and just a short walk from the centre of Bakewell. ( Id recomend that you park in the town and walk to the Museum as space is really tight on the surrounding roads.

The only word I have to describe this place is eclectic. Huge amounts of the objects on display have little or known obvious link to the house, Bakewell or the surrounding area. A good way to loose an hour though!
