For relaxation, the bunkhouse has a television, DVD and CD player downstairs in the rest area. Outside we have a purpose built circular area with large barbeque and a fire pit, along side this a eating area, ideal for enjoying a relaxing evening sitting and eating whilst taking in the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains of the Brecon Beacons.

Bed & Breakfast in our 17th century Welsh Longhouse. There are 3 double/twin rooms available with a large private lounge for your exclusive use with TV and DVD, your own bonfire area and private entrance, ideal for families, groups or couples. We have a very relaxed atmosphere and are flexible for catering for groups as well as individual needs.

A quaint Shepherds Hut set in its own field.

Clyngwyn offers you and your guests quality, relaxed, affordable accommodation within a friendly, laid-back atmosphere for you to enjoy as you please. Clyngwyn is open all year round and we aim to cater for a wide diverse range of group holidays, family holidays, schools, parties, reunions and weddings/civil partnerships, couples and solo visitors.

Along with your choice of accommodation you have access to three acres of private land for your exclusive enjoyment and you are very well situated to enjoy the many treasures of the Brecon Beacons. Clyngwyn provides you with an excellent base to explore the diverse range of attractions we have in abundance nearby.

We are within easy reach of the Welsh towns of Sennybridge, Merthyr Tydfil, and Brecon and the city of Swansea all of which have a good selection of restaurants and bars. Or if you feel like an excursion to the beach we are only 40 minutes away from the Gower beaches. However, if you want to stay local the villages of Ystradfellte and Pontneddfechan only two and half miles away both have pubs two of which have restaurants. All are also very accessible via our local mini bus taxi service.

We are situated in the heart of waterfall country, and very near to the famous caves and waterfalls of Ystradfellte, South Wales. The waterfalls of Clyngwyn are literally on our doorstep. Sgwd Clun Gwyn waterfall, the first of the falls on the Afon Mellte is only 500m from the farm, just a short 5 minute walk away. We are in fact the closest accommodation to the famous Sgwd Yr Eira waterfalls renowned for you also being able to walk behind them.

We arrived at the remote site, for a 5 day water based holiday using the B&B as our base. We were warmly greeted by the 2 hosts, both the ladies were very friends and so were the 4 dogs. We felt immediately at home, in the tranquil surroundings. As no one else was staying at the B&B we had the whole site to ourselves, including a very spacious lounge area with 2 leather sofas, a kitchenette with microwave, shower and toilet room down stairs. Upstairs there were 3 bed rooms and another bath room upstairs. The grounds are impressive with kiddie friendly attractions such as a tree house and 2 swings. My daughter loved playing with all the dogs. There are also ceramic art works that the owner has designed and crafted placed all around the property. Just 20 minutes walk from the property you are in the middle of waterfall country - truly back to nature. We took one of the locally organized waterfall tours, and got to jump off of 25ft high water falls and go behind and through them. The breakfasts are impressive and large, it is informal so you can just suggest a convenient time to eat. We had a piping hot full English each day, with plenty of tea, fresh filter coffee, and orange juice. The double bed is soft but very comfortable, one of the kids beds was a bit old, so we just placed another duvet on top of the mattress - problem solved :-) Over all if you want to get back to nature, and relax, this is a great place to go to. Expect rain - as it is Wales, but that makes the waterfalls so much more impressive.
