Afternoon Tea Booked Afternoon Tea, waiting staff very polite and helpful. The standard of the Afternoon Tea was a mixed bag, would probably rate it around 6 out of 10. Negatives Welsh Cakes - Not cooked therefore could not be eaten. Macaroon's - Had an unpleasant synthetic after taste. Clotted Cream - Very stiff making it impossible to spread without destroying the scone. Sweet / Savoury balance - The standard afternoon tea did not strike the right balance between sweet and savoury, would have benefited from more sandwiches and smaller deserts. Positives Scones - Delicious, very light texture. Sandwiches - Nice selection of sandwich fillings, executed very well. Lemon and poppy seed cake - Although it was too big, it was very light and fluffy with a delicious lemon curd filling. As an after thought, loose leaf tea should be a standard and not the reserve of the deluxe version. Conclusion: Pleasant afternoon, in idilic surroundings. Provided the above feedback too the chef which was received favourably, however from a customer service point of view nothing was done to rectify the inedible parts of the afternoon tea. Would consider returning at a later date to see if any improvement has been made to the service.

Nice hotel. Have been there for a couple of weddings. Decent food and service, and rooms are ok. Set in nice grounds with some great views. Huge Marquette for weddings and other events. Not sure about the breakfast as I was too hung over to get up, but it looked nice.

Room was comfortable and immaculately clean. We work in hospitality ourselves and it is a real pleasure to visit somewhere else with such high standards. Food and drinks were exceptional and very good value for money. We had breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner during our stay and all were top quality. (My husband has asked me to add that you must have the strawberry-topped chocolate cake that is served with the afternoon tea. ) The hotel is beautiful, steeped in history and in a perfect location - close enough to the town we needed to visit while still being a country hotel. If we had had difficulty sleeping (and we didn't in the extremely comfortable bed) then we could have counted sheep just by looking from the window! The staff made this visit, however. Every department seemed genuinely happy to be there. Reception, the bar, the restaurant and housekeeping - everyone we interacted with was friendly and enthusiastic. We felt thoroughly spoiled. Thank you, Llechwen Hall Hotel.

Really nice place, staff were very friendly and approachable. Although just before we all went into the main hall for a wedding ceremony they took a random couple in to show them the place, I presume they were looking for potential venues. I just found it a bit odd they would do that moments before someone's actual wedding ceremony commenced.

Lovely welcome and super tea. Sandwiches. Cakes and cream scones. Staff were lovely. I would recommend it and will go again.
