Tired old and smelly could do with being knocked down and a hotel being built in its place to be honest. Decided not to take the chance and stay so left.

Very friendly and a great price. Breakfast as good as any I've had. The place could use some sprucing up, and modernising, but clean and comfortable.

Stayed here for 2 nights, the bed is comfortable and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast was good and chips from the bar tasted fine. The hotel is having some renovation works which I think will improve the look of the rooms. We had a problem with WiFi not working in our room so we're offered a change of rooms. The rooms are all ensuite and have a small tv and kettle in them (we didn't use the tv but assume it works). It is opposite the Royal Mint so literally walked across the road to get to it. There is a bus service to the hospital down the road but doesn't go past the hotel. He hotel also has a carpark which is shared with the bar and restaurant which are all in the same building. I would recommend having your own transport if you stay here because besides for the Royal Mint everything else is a bit of a journey to get to.

I have used this venue for a Chronic Kidney Disease Support Group once a month. They have provided excellent service and have always been very accommodating. I have heard they do a delicious Roast dinner on a Sunday, which I haven't had the chance to try yet but hope to very soon.

Brilliant hotel, friendly staff; rooms are clean. Prices are reasonable and the locals are great. Against the Premier Inn, I would choose these guys every day. Plenty of safe parking too.
