If you are going to bike park Wales, this is the perfect place. It is extremely close and they let you bring the bike into your room, if clean. Bath is a little small but it worked. I will definitely be back.
Check-in was quick, not much conversation with person checked in with no info given including direction to room!!! . Only get 1 key and 1 set of towels, even though a room booked for 2 adults, and that was in the family room! They did supply more towels but had to go ask, in both rooms! First room, the toilet began leaking in first couple of days, causing a damp smell, reception largely unmanned, got to speak to actually a very helpful lady different to first one, she promptly moved us to a nearby room which was much better. Walls are THIN you can hear everything from neighbouring rooms and hallways. Second room, toilet was fine, TV remote didn't work! There are minimal facilities, you get 2 sugars a day for 2 adults, bring your own coffee as it's TERRIBLE, minimal storage for clothing, even a standard case ledge would do, literally have to live out of a case on the floor and no hair dryers! We put the sign on door to be topped up, left for the morning, came back late afternoon and no top up, no once over with cleaning, we've had to go ask for top ups including toilet roll!! Hand wash has actually been basically empty in both rooms also. Beds in both rooms have been very squeaky, even just rolling over in the night!
Great travel lodge. Located near train station, restaurants, bars, cinema and bowlingnnStaff were rarely found at the desk and sometimes had to wait for them to come out of office but when they did were helpful and friendlynnI booked breakfast to go online but it failed to tell me what it was so was disappointed to receive a small box of cereal and things but that was an online fault rather than the travel lodge itselfnnBut still a great value for money in a quiet location. If I’m back in the area would stay again
Shocking experience my Wife and I were awakened by a male person entering our room after midnight. He then said sorry I thought the room was empty. We later discovered via a note pushed under the door that this was a member of staff. My wife was distraught over this incident and subsequently was unable to sleep.nThere was nobody at the reception in the morning to raise this issue with.nnIt is concerning that the staff at this hotel are not aware of which rooms are actually occupied.
Come to bike park wales very accommodating let you put your bike in room if it’s clean, rooms are good for the money and clean enough definitely will keep using travel lodge when coming to bike park
