The hotel itself is what you would hope for and expect, clean and comfortable. The restaurant menu is unpretentious but everything we ordered during our stay was well prepared and delicious. Where this hotel really scores though is that every single one of their staff were amazing. They were friendly, professional and went out of their way to help us when I needed to cut short our stay because of health issues. The reception staff were lovely as were the restaurant staff. We always stay at Premier Inns but this one was special.
I wanted to pass on some positive feedback to the team at Premier Inn Aberdare. I arrived at approx 2am on Saturday 27th of April after my wife had an emergency C-section at a hospital not local to our home, so stayed the the hotel to stay nearby outside of visiting hours. I believe the woman who was on reception when I checked in was Kate if this is incorrect I do apologise, and was also looked after by another Kate and Sophie during my stay. They were incredibly friendly and supporting during my stay during a very bizarre circumstance, and they honestly made the whole stressful time so much easier for myself, I honestly cannot thank the two Kate's and Sophie enough, and even went the extra mile by leaving a few things in the room for wife and baby which was so thoughtful. Everyone was absolutely amazing!
Very clean and tidy , perfect location to local activities . Staff were very nice best service I've ever had at a premier inn .
What a disappointing stay!nThe first room we were in made my husband ill. There was mould around the windows and the aircon unit wasn't working properly. When we went to reception to tell them about his allergic reaction to the room they immediately asked if we had used the aircon. They did then put us in a different room for our 2nd night, but it was too late by then, and it took days for his symptoms to subside.nThe bathroom in the original room also had issues. The floor was spongey next to the toilet, and felt like it could give way.nThe staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful, however.nWe had also booked the meal deal and were using the Brewers Fayre next door. The first night the food and service was excellent, but it was a team from another Brewers Fayre working that night as it was the Aberdare staff party. The Friday night was a completely different experience. The starters arrived cold. The mushrooms were swimming in grease. My husbands starter arrived minus its dip. My main was also cold. Our food had obviously been prepared for a while and they hadn't known which table ordered it. The person who had served us initially was stood chatting to a customer friend for 20 mins while other staff had to cover for her. The person responsible for the play zone was serving in the main restaurant as a result, which meant no staff were in the play area should there have been an emergency. We had been given the wrong receipts, so had to argue our corner for the dessert we had purchased for our daughter.nOverall a very disappointing stay.
Premier in was very good in general but the brewers fayer restaurant I wasn't as pleased with. Got a mix grill and the portion size wasn't the best and peas was like bullets .nThe cooked breakfast was cold. Eggs like rubber in all very disappointed with the food
