30 St Mary Axe, commonly known as The Gherkin, is one of London's most iconic modern buildings. Designed by Foster and Partners and completed in 2004, it stands out with its unique, curvilinear shape that resembles a gherkin. Located in the heart of London's financial district, this 180-meter skyscraper is celebrated for its innovative design and environmental features, which include energy-saving measures and natural ventilation systems. Visitors often praise the building not only for its striking architecture but also for the stunning views it offers from its top floors. The restaurant and bar at the top, managed by Searcys, are particularly popular. Diners can enjoy a mix of contemporary dishes while taking in panoramic views of the London skyline, making it a prime spot for both locals and tourists. The dining experience is noted for its blend of "Saint" healthier and "Sinner" indulgent menu options, allowing for a versatile culinary experience. Overall, The Gherkin is more than just a skyscraper; it's a symbol of modern London, combining cutting-edge architecture with top-notch dining and spectacular city views.
I went here for a birthday dinner for my partners mom. The atmosphere was amazing and views were spectacular as to be expected at the gherkin. The food options were based on set menus and the portion sizes were very small. While the food tasted really good it wasn’t as filling. The service was amazing and the staff were great. As per policy and to keep in mind there is a minimum sitting time and they do start to tell you that your time is up due to other bookings at times but not always felt a bit rushed.
The Gherkin, is an architectural marvel in London's skyline. Its distinctive curved glass facade not only offers panoramic views but also enhances energy efficiency. The building’s unique, aerodynamic shape minimizes wind deflection and creates a striking, futuristic aesthetic in the city.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

One of the most beautiful and happening business centres in London. I attended a conference on the top floor which is I guess the 34th floor. The view from the top is amazing! Food was great too.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
