Story

The family-owned Celebrity Indian Restaurant is set above The Brasshouse pub on busy Broad Street adjacent to Brindley Place.

It is situated in Birmingham's entertainment zone alongside the city's renowned canals and a stones throw from the International Convention Centre, National Indoor Arena, Symphony Hall and the city's hotel and theatre network.

The high-ceilinged dining area has many period features, including paintings, sash windows, dado rails, coving and ceiling roses. Linen napkins, tablecloths and sparkling tableware and glassware confirm the impression that this is not your average curry house.

There are bottled beers available as well as a good range of international wines, spirits and liqueurs.

After the football match at Villa Park, I came here as I like Indian food. The atmosphere, taste of food and service are all excellent. I would love to come here again when I come to Birmingham.Food: 5/5
Booked the private room for a business dinner. Very helpful staff during booking process. Good sized room was perfect for our meeting. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. Very good value with generous portions on the banquet menu at £29.95. Catered for halal requirement of many guests.Food: 5/5
I was part of a bigger group and we ordered everything in advance. So much confusion among staff bringing wrong dishes out. Once it came out it was good, tasty and well presented.Food: 5/5
The service was quick and professional, I was catered to and made to feel very comfortable. I had tried some appetisers and a chicken curry. The seasoning, garnish and textures would beautiful. Convenient location directly above the Brasshouse pub on Broad St. Great venue, spacious and stylish design. Plenty of attentive staff who kept us hydrated with delicious beer whilst waiting for our table. Starters and mains all tasty and spices to order. The onion bhaji starter is some next level design! Overall excellent service and food. Recommended.
Authentic Indian taste reminds me of home. The grilled salmon was amazing and great for my healthy eating. Good music at Celebrity Indian restaurant. Staff are friendly and attentive. Will be back again soon.Food: 5/5
8 o'clock on Saturday night so quiet. Mix of starter, main and sides, all really nice. Staff attentive and knowledgeable. 10% service charge automatically added to bill, well worth it. Parking: No parking on Broad Street. Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant on 1st floor, no lift that I could see.
I recently visited a restaurant with my 8-month-old baby and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Firstly, the restaurant was not accessible as I had to climb stairs with a pram which made it quite inconvenient. Secondly, the high chair provided was not safe at all. The buckle kept coming off and the back support was hard and dangerous for my baby. Due to this issue, I had to take away the food and eat it elsewhere. To make matters worse, while chewing the food, I discovered a small metal shard in it which was quite alarming and dangerous. It is concerning that the restaurant did not take proper measures to ensure that the food was free from any such foreign objects. To add to my disappointment, even the food was quite bland for an Indian cuisine. The flavors were not as authentic as I had hoped and it was an overall underwhelming experience. In conclusion, it is evident that the restaurant had no regard for health and safety, as evidenced by the inaccessible entrance, unsafe high chair, and presence of foreign objects in the food. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if they have young children with them.
Just been to Celebrity Indian restaurant for a fantastic meal. Greeted warmly by staff. Amazing food tasty and delicious, plenty of it too. Will definitely be back. Try it you won't be disappointed.Food: 5/5
