I was a victim of racism in the year 2015 or 2016. The piano player, two other singing teachers were looking at me as if I was a criminal from a certain ethnicity. By the way, I'm a Hindu. They were in Rookery Road school. We then performed in Church in Handworth Wood. That day they were nice to me except for the piano player.
Outstanding venue. The staff and security were world class. Honestly as a 'young disabled guy' I was treated above and beyond. 10/10
Lovely venue. Went to see a CBSO Percussion performance. Amazing musicians! Fab cafe too where you can get a cup of tea and home made cake.
I was very impressed by the quality of performance for children. My daughter enjoyed the show reasonable well, the venue was clean and well maintained, the staff was friendly and helpful.
Worked with the CBSO as part of assorted projects featuring my school. Staff and musicians go out of their way to help and are really making music accessible through their community initiatives, breaking down the barriers between an orchestra and young audiences.....quite literally walking amongst them as they perform!! Do yourself a favour and go see them in action. Hairs on the neck stuff once they fire up!! Uplifting and a great day/night out.
I love the friendly atmosphere at the CBSO centre, a lovely concert venue with great rehearsal spaces. Very welcoming and home to the excellent CBSO and CBSO Choruses
Super auditorium. Light and spacious. Wonderful acoustics.
Afternoon centre stage. Fab! Think lunch in Brum followed by a bit of culture at the CBSO.
Great small performance space for music. There are lots of concerts here of various styles, generally classical and contemporary music. There is a lounge area that does refreshments before/during a concert. Paid for parking is available on the roads outside or nearby, or there is a multi storey on Berkeley St.
Went in yesterday to ask about amateur orchestras and choirs in Birmingham - Saffron on the desk went above and beyond to find information for me while being super kind and friendly! Will definitely visit again to see a performance!!!
