Great night out. Very funny acts. Started around 8 was finished by 9.45 with 2 intervals. Table service. Had a cocktail pitcher £28. Full of ice, so you have to drink quick or your drinks watered down. Churros £5.50. Re-heated, slightly hard and barely warm. Didn’t try any other food but other people’s did look good.
Absolutely amazing night out every time, plus the food is incredible. Note for those with claustrophobia - the tables are thin and very close together. You'll be shoulder to shoulder for some of these nights so prepare for that. 100% worth every penny each time, excellent lineups each week
First of all, I booked this for my 30th. Asked to be sat by the front they said they seat on the day…so realistically they could have. Instead we were sat right at the back in the corner. There were SO many miserable people sat up front that didn’t even look like they wanted to be there! I preordered 2 pitchers and they took AGES to come so had to go and ask. They only brought 1 pitcher so had to ask for the other one..more waiting. The acts were all pretty naff other than a bald middle aged man. The last act was late and he wasn’t funny at all, then abruptly left as he had a train booked? Won’t be returning.
Got tickets to see Steve Hall & Steve Williams in the Studio, which is the small room holding around 150 people. Nice and easy to get in and find seats. The bar downstairs serves Shipyard, which we like and the doors opened 8pm on the dot . Both Steve's were very entertaining and we had a great night out there. We would definitely recommend this venue. Penny & Carl
Modern, stylish set up, had interesting non alcoholic options available. Efficient flow of people traffic between floors, well laid out room with good eyeline to stage wherever you sit. This was our second visit and great both times. There are loads of interesting places to eat nearby and parking just to the side of the plaza where Glee Club is based.
Absolutely fantastic experience apart from two drunk woman who kept heckling the comedians. I'd happily go back again and again! Food was reasonably priced and the quality was actually pretty good, couldn't complain! Be sure to try the Brooklyn brewery Special Effects non/low alcoholic beer, it was surprisingly good!
Had a lovely experience at the glee club on Saturday night! All the staff were really friendly and accomodating especially Chris who was really helpful with me and my friend who is sensitive to noise. Will definitely be back for another event!
Great place to see comedy in Birmingham. My partner and I saw a three-comic plus host show and everyone was terrific. Not a bad seat in the house. Crowd work was outstanding and each comic continued the crowd interactions from the previous act which takes a concerted effort. Decent food and drink on offer.
Thoroughly enjoyable Father Ted experience with Joe Rooney aka delinquent priest Damo Lennon from the Old Grey Whistle Theft. Rooney's mix of stand up and interactive entertainment is a hoot whether or not you're a Ted disciple. The intimate upstairs room with seating for approx 150 was packed and it was a great atmosphere and experience. I had doubts how the blend would work on stage but they were quickly dispelled - Rooney's enthusiasm and humour are infectious. I think the Ted 'bond' in the audience really helped. Only criticism is the ridiculously long bar queue in the interval.
We enjoyed a brilliant evening of comedy for a work party. Great atmosphere and a fun evening had by all. I left my phone there and staff went above and beyond to ensure its safe return. Can’t thank you enough. Highly recommend, definitely worth a visit!
