Always a good night here. The staff are always so friendly and helpful, and the Circle Lounge is great for pre-show food and interval snacks.
Went to see the musical, Aladdin. On Saturday evening, with my wife and friends. The show itself was pretty good. Only issue was that the sound system wasn’t clear at times, where I sat in the upper circle. The facilities were very good, except for the toilets that were unisex. I and other people attending the show didn’t like them. Prefer male and female toilets separate. It didn’t feel right to use unisex toilets.
First time visiting Birmingham Hippodrome, watched Hamilton and it was amazing the venue is brilliant easy to access and parking is great. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to watch a play. The staff were very helpful and professional, the amenities are easily accessible for everyone, one minor issue you will get a numb bum seats weren’t the most comfortable but having a break in the middle helps but still rate this place a 5.
Came to treat the wife to an anniversary trip to see Hamilton. The staff were really polite and friendly and helpful, the venue is amazing and the price for goods from the concessions stand were a little pricey, but not excessively so. Will definitely be back.
Poor experience here this evening, purchased a ticket in the stalls and there are around ten to fifteen empty rows in front. We decided to move forward to be tutted at and told that “you didn’t pay for these seats they are more expensive”. I don’t believe they were initially and to be asked to leave seats empty when there is no opportunity for the theatre to earn more from the seats is frankly ridiculous. Perhaps the management should consider satisfaction and potential customer return before money which could not have been made and to treated like school children. Poor customer service needs correcting before I consider returning here, go elsewhere until customers are before profits.
Went to see wicked here. Can't believe how much it had alter since I last went in 1996. Excellent for disabled people, you have a restaurant there, book meals through purchase on your ticket. Access to buses, trains and taxis. Bull ring shopping centre close by. You have plenty of eating and drinking places by the theatre. In the theatre itself. Plenty of help from staff so friendly. Can't wait to go back and see more shows at the theatre.
So I went to see Hamilton. Good show!! The theatre was clean and comfortable. Chairs are a nice size. Decent ladies toilet facilities. Friendly staff. I would definitely go back to see another show.
Went to see Hamilton, absolutely brilliant show! Staff all polite and attentive. Although big queues at the bar and for merchandise they handled these quickly enough. Plenty of toilets although expect to queue for the ladies, gents in and out but always a big queue for the ladies. I would say the selection of beers wasn't great, bottle of Stella, cans of Camden lager, pale ale, and 2 different ciders. Prices were high for a can/bottle at £5.50 but that's just what you get in venues. I personally found the seats uncomfortable and probably annoyed people around me having to alter my seating position every 5 minutes.
Staffs were helpful & lovely. However, eating allowed during the show, sandwiches, crisps..... Loud crisp packets rustling, smells all over the place during the performance. Went to countless theatre, never had such experiences like that. Later peoples are still allowed to get in even the performance has already started half hour ago, such a disatracting. B'ham hippodrome should do something about it to provide a quiet environment for the audiences.
The Hippodrome auditorium has retained it's classic design and seats were sufficiently comfortable with enough leg room. Staff were efficient & helpful. A few more bar staff would be welcome as the queues were ridiculous. However, once purchased, interval drinks were easy to find. As is the norm with other city theatres, the drinks were expensive. The ladies' toilets ran out of soap & toilet tissue & the queues were so long we were worried that we would miss the next act. However the performance was stunning. Beautiful costumes & set. A stunning performance..Theatre staff were lovely and couldn’t be more help. The production was brilliant although ballet isn’t my thing - the trip was a gift for my adult son who enjoyed it immensely. But as part of the gift I booked dinner at the theatre. Never again. The food was good, not outstanding, the bill wasn’t. £93 was very steep for what we got and we did not feel it was value for money.
