Great communication, friendly customer service and fantastic location! Spent one night whilst visiting Windsor and touring the castle. The complimentry drink for directly booking on the hotel's website was a nice touch. Only feedback would be with the room as it felt a little tired, however bathroom was modern. Thanks for the stay!
Amazing experience at the best hotel in Windsor! We spent 5 nights at the hotel including the New Year's Eve where we had a great celebration. The staff is top class at each department from the room-service all the way to events and restaurant. We enjoyed a lot the breakfast, I am a great fan of the full English breakfast and everything was there. Normally I eat poached eggs and the waiters always did them the way I love them! Some days we tried the Egg Royale and Benedict and it was a feast! We enjoyed the restaurant as well, food was great and diverse with a focus on English cuisine but there were also some exotic influences which we loved a lot! Portions are very generous and they go very well with the suggested wines! Serving is just royal! We felt like royalties from the first minute till the last. Let's not forget Dexter, the cat that always sleeps near the reception and loves the attention of the guests! : We will definitely return with full pleasure the this lovely hotel! Rooms: Spațios and clean rooms Walkability: Right upon the center, 1 minutes walk from Windsor Castle Food & drinks: Great lost of choices and very professional service
Probably the best hotel in Windsor. Comfortable, spacious room overlooking the high street and 100 metres from the Castle entrance. We were there on a Saturday which is one of the days changing of the guard takes place and the parade and band march past directly in front of the hotel. Very good restaurant in the hotel where we had an excellent dinner and breakfast
Came for Afternoon tea today and the cakes and scones were exceptional! Perfect location right opposite the castle, and cosy seating by the fire! after a couple of hours on our feet. Despite being super busy, the staff were friendly and very accommodating of dietary needs / requests to changing of the menu.
A great location right in the centre of Windsor. A lovely quaint place to stay with easy access to everything. Car parking not cheap at £30 a night but it isn't cheap anywhere in Windsor. Lovely clean rooms and a delicious breakfast with plenty of choice.Rooms: 5/5
All perfect, elegant with a colonial touch, and clean, though the rooms and in particular the carpets and mattresses need renewal. Excellent breakfast with great choice. Rather understaffed, but despite being overworked they never lost their smile and did their utmost to serve. Wonderful position.Rooms: 4/5
Staff excellent. Room clean if a little small. Location perfect for a visit to Windsor castle. Dinner and breakfast was excellent however the night we dined an office party was in so the "quiet dining" was interrupted but the office quiz and very loud shouting. Real shame the group couldn't be accommodated in a private roomRooms: 4/5
Very disappointing stay for what was supposed to be a romantic new year's getaway. For the price you pay, I would have expected a much better standard and highly unlikely to return. Pros: Great location, friendly reception and bar staff and cosy bed. Cons: Night ruined by couple in neighbouring room arguing loudly at 1am. Hotel were responsive, apologetic and dealt with our noise complaint, but it did ruin the night and no talk of compensation given. I can appreciate it's not the fault of the hotel, but it's the hotels responsibility to ensure guest comfort. Room wasn't too bad, but there we found a dried contact lense in the corner when unpacking. Breakfast was the final opportunity to finish on a good note, but it was chaos. Seemed understaffed and unorganised. The waiting time for tea and coffee was 10+ minutes and our eggs we ordered never arrived. Selection was okay, but I would have expected a bit better given the hotel and price point. General cleaning schedules seemed confused. Having key walkways being hoovered in the middle of breakfast and checkout rush with dangling leads as trip hazards seems ill thought-out.
It was raining buckets the night we arrived at the Castle Hotel in Windsor, but we were greeted by helpful staff who got us settled into our lovely rooms straight away. We enjoyed our complimentary drinks at the Leaf Bar, and had an enjoyable and delicious full English buffet breakfast the next day in the main dining room. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Windsor, with terrific access to shopping, the bars, the local parish church, and of course, to Windsor Castle itself. We spent a beautiful morning strolling around Windsor, despite the gray skies, and our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer there, and perhaps enjoy a drink, or two, in the historic Two Brewers Pub. However, what we missed on our first trip to Windsor gives us a reason to go back, and we look forward to staying at the Castle Hotel again. Despite the high cost of a taxi from Heathrow to Windsor and back again, I would recommend simplifying your journey and taking one. Loved the Castle Hotel, loved Windsor. Can't wait to return.
My apologies about don't give any experience on rooms and service. It the main reason to visit this hotel was a Christmas staff party. The room was very comfortable and the service was amazing We all have a such funny and unforgettable night. Thank you very much for your attention. Merry Christmas!!!
