Fabulous first impression. Wonderful, friendly staff and very accommodating with my specific requests. The staff are flexible and go out of their way to take care of you ensuring you have the best experience possible. I was lucky to get the King Double room, it was lovely, spacious with cool decor. The full English breakfast was delicious. In general, hotel is very pleasant, clean, modern yet with character and I would recommend staying here to anyone. Looking forward to staying here again soon! Thank you
The hotel is in a great location if you want to stay in a quiet place and away from the crowd. The Long Walk is right on the doorstep and Windsor Castle is only 10 minutes away. At the same time, local restaurants are close by. The hotel itself is family run and has a warm and friendly atmosphere. Even though I arrived almost three hours early, they not only let me check in right away, they also upgraded me from a classic to a superior room, at no extra charge. After a long day exploring Windsor, I really appreciated being able to enjoy a long, relaxing bath in stylish surroundings. On top of that, my breakfast was superb; there was a quality a la carte menu served personally by the cook. My smoked salmon and poached egg were cooked to perfection.
1. Our room has NO WINDOW but only a fire door leading to a wobbly terrace with no safety facility. 2. Pillow cases are DIRTY!!! 3. The room is tiny and NOISY, you hear people walking around, talking and laughing very clear. 4. NO LIFT. 5. Facilities are old. 6. Parking is £20 per night and not always available. The nearest parking plot is 10 minutes walk. 7. NOT KID FRIENDLY. No star and NOT recommend AT ALL.
Staff was amazing, breakfast was good, location was good, bed was comfortable. I just hate nasty carpet in hotel rooms, and that was the primary reason for my 4 star review. If my room was a little more updated with no nasty carpet, this would have been 5 stars. Walkability: 5 min walk from Windsor Castle Food & drinks: Breakfast was good.
Very nice stay for one night, friendly staff, nice clean comfortable room. Super cooked to order breakfast, the complementary welcome drink a nice touch. Car parking is available but you must book as limited spaces.
Excellent experience, fantastic room and great affordable price. The breakfast was of great quality and freshness. The staff was the best. 5 out of 5 starsRooms: 5/5
Amazing location with great rooms and even better service. The staff accommodate to any needs you may have and are all extremely kind, and the food and drink was amazing. Highly recommended Rooms: 5/5
Great Enjoyment staying here in May. CLEAN with a nice history to the architecture. We Had a next afternoon flight out of Heathrow airport so why not stay in this quaint town the night before. Had a charming room with breakfast included. Complimentary drink upon arrival the previous afternoon too. Great staff from front desk lady to their Pub staff. All were helpful. short walk into town, Castle, and Castle walking path. Easy to taxi to airport. We would love to stay here again Nearby activities: Castle tour and quaint shops/restaurants just up the road. Came by train to the town just north of Windsor. Walkability: So close to the castle which is literally 10 minute walk up the same road as the Hotel. We walked everywhere. Food & drinks: Full sit down Breakfast included. Welcome beer or wine upon arrival
Not a good place to stay for vegans. I emailed when I booked to say I was vegan and I was advised the menu had vegan options and I was advised there would be no problem. However, once there, I was told the menu changed a few days ago and there are NO vegan options on the new menu and the chef could not deviate to accommodate vegan. I have stayed in many hotels and chefs can usually create anything on request....unless the meals are precooked /prepacked of course. So we had dinner elsewhere. Breakfast was no better experience, they had no plant based spread, only butter and my toast was served dry on two mornings with no apologies other than they have to go through management to change it. A cooked breakfast consisted of one mushroom, half a tomato, 1 hash brown and a small pot of beans, with dry toast. Awful experience. I felt that they were happy to let me book the hotel letting me think they could cater for me when actually once they had my booking secured they did not deliver what they promised and ignored my requests when I spoke to them. I would not stay here again.
Lovely hotel, nice staff. Room was great- very large with a delightful en-suite. Tye 2 downsides were that the bar air conditioner wasn't working and it was like an oven, and also that parking was a stressful ordeal! Car park is very small, off a very small road and everything is at a right angle! However, there were 2 spots for car charging, which was goof
