Would rather catch a lift with ted bundy then use this taxi rank , booked a mini bus for special occasion sent a normal 5 seater then told me it would be another hour for a mini bus , rude staff answering the phones ! AVOID !
Booked a minibus for 7.45 Saturday night. Never turned up. Got told it's only it way. 30 mins later still not turned up. Cancelled my booking.

Recently been on holiday. So booked a taxi for airport run. All flight detail passed on as requested, for outgoing and return flights. Pickup time going was 3am. At 3:15 a call had to be made to the rank to find out why no car had showed. A car turned up a little while after. On return flight we landed at 2:20pm, I was coming through passport control fairly quickly and thought I'd phone the rank. This is when a car was dispatched. Some 40 mins later and waiting outside for pickup. I called again, only to be told he's just got on motorway at Ashton. The car arrived at 3:35pm rush hour traffic. I don't mind a bit of waiting. But I might as well walk out and take a local cab. What's the point of passing the info on if they don't intend to be professional and use it. The driver was fine, no problem with him. But I won't be using this rank again.
The drivers are good but the telephone handlers are awfully rude. - I rang up asking where my taxi was after a 45 minute wait and I asked to be rang back and told if it would be longer than another 15 minutes. Due to already being late for work. 15 minutes passed and I rang again - only to be told my taxi had been cancelled for apparently "screaming" at a staff member. I was disgusted that they had made up a slanderous lie in order to cancel my taxi. Rather than just being honest and saying they had none available. Awful awful insulting people - I will never book with cartax again.
Booked taxi for every morning same time each morning to take my son to school for 8.10am Day 1... No taxi at 8.10 still sat waiting at 8.40am I did phone up to be told by a rude man that the taxi had been and gone even though I'd stood waiting outside my house from 8.10am and my house is down a single track road so you can't miss seeing a car come down it. The taxi had not sent a text saying on their way or a text to say arrived either. Day 2...... taxi did turn up at 8.20am and only by chance he was seen as he'd parked at the end of single track road not even drove down. Now this isn't the first time they've been horrendous with not turning up or being very late with no courtesy to apologise. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!
Avoid. Cartax has been taken over by the look of things and they're service has gone downhill, fast. Pricing has gone up, taxi driver was 20 minutes late, then didn't know his way around Greenfield, and then stopped for petrol before going on the motorway! This was a morning taxi to the airport and the added stress of being late was not needed. Won't be using again, terrible.
Never had an issue with them. It’s no longer Cartax. But customer service hasn’t changed as far as I can see
