The restaurant is centrally located and spacious and the decoration gives a home from home feeling offering tranquillity and a welcome escape from the city. The meal was beautifully presented delicious and the restaurant service was caring nothing was a problem. May I thank the staff for making my lunch date with my sister memorable a special thank you to the manageress Tamara.

Went for lunch last Sunday with my family, the food was okay but I was more impressed by the service. We were served by Hayley who was incredibly friendly, we didn't have to wait long for our food, and she interacted well with my autistic brother which we greatly appreciated. Overall the food was enjoyable (though I wouldn't say it was amazing), the restaurant itself was clean and had a good vibe, and the service was top notch. I'd recommend giving it a visit if you've never been.

National chain Italian restaurant based in the city centre of Newcastle. A wide range of Italian food is available, and I have visited on a number of occasions and always received consistent service, very high quality food and pleasant and well maintained surroundings. Staff are friendly and attentive and nothing is ever a problem. Good value for money. This location is ideal for lunch, brunch, coffee with friends, or that special meal. Recommended. A mini deli is also on site which provides a number of products such as biscotti, pannettone, olive oils, which make ideal small gifts. I believe there are also takeout options for many of the home made cakes.

Foods are absolutely delicious at a fair price compared to other Italian restaurants. HOWEVER, it would be better if the French guy or where ever he's from, would stop interrupt us in order to make us spend more, trick us about the real price, pressurized us to pay tips! Since this incident I never visit the place again. Note: Other staffs are friendly.

First time visiting Carluccio’s and will be our only time. Drinks - plenty of choice for wine drinkers, but not one bottle of flavoured cider on offer. Purposely got a taxi so that I could have a drink with my meal. Ordered a cocktail which I didn’t like at all, neither did my partner so I told the waiter to just get rid of it and I ordered a tia Maria with OJ instead. I expected to pay for the drink as it was my choice and my fault I didn’t like it. I was very pleased to see that it wasn’t added to my bill which was a kind gesture. Food - however lovely, very small and left the place still hungry even after 4 courses. Garlic bread with cheese is to die for! Best ever! The desert menu leaves a lot to be desired but had I to have something seeing as I was still starving. Service - good service, very pleasant waiter and staff. Cannot fault him. Would I visit again? I would not unfortunately. £80 down for an evening meal and couple drinks for two people to not be full afterwards is not worth it.
