Not value for money. Bathroom was dirty with grime on the bath and none of the plugs worked in the bath or sink. Tv remote didn't work either. Had to pay an extra 10 for a river view on top of high price per night. Not like you see advertised, only little things like only 2 very small towels for 2 people No hand towel or anything extra. No glasses only mugs, no water or biscuits or anything like in the pictures. The bed wheels wouldn't lock so it was sliding round the room everytime we sat down. Great location, free parking and lovely staff.
Went for a hen weekend here and had a room overlooking the Queens dock. It’s a lovely place, basic but everything you need to shower, dress and sleep comfortably. Has a lovely big bar also overlooking the Queens Dock. Rooms: Clean, comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities, bath with overhead shower, wardrobe, TV and hairdryer. We were in the 1st floor so we had to use the stairs, I didn’t see a lift but didn’t really look for one, could possibly be one somewhere. 24 hr McDonald’s directly across the road and KFC incase of a midnight snack. Walkability: Within 20 min walk to Albert Dock where all restaurants are and same to town centre, great nightlife especially Matthew Street but it was really busy
I stayed here twice to break my journey to and from the Isle-of-Man. Walking distance from the ferry terminal. I had a view of the Mersey on one stay, which was a bonus. Shoutout to the hotel staff though. They were very kind to me, each time, arranging a spot for me to park my motorbike under camera surveillance. Thank-you. Excellent value and the location couldn't be more convenient for sightseeing or stopover. Easy parking for cars too I should add Rooms: One side of the hotel has a view of the Mersey. There is also a bar, with a beer garden overlooking the river. Nearby activities: You are in the heart of things for exploring the docks or onward travel. Safety: Camera surveillance in the carpark. Noteworthy details: Extremely helpful staff and a generously late check-out.
Never the most up to date decor or rooms but at this price point it's somewhere to rest your head. Bonus was a small walk way to an area overlooking the river, saw some rowers going past while I ate a sandwich but wished I'd kept my coat on as it was a bit chilly. Free parking too which is a definite bonus in the area. Update. Second visit to this hotel. Same decor but the shower curtain was held up with sealant, not the best unfortunately. Rooms: Small, slightly outdated decor with comfy beds, but had a bath with shower so at least you have the choice.
Rooms are a a good size some with great views over Liverpool Docks, very clean if a little dated and in need of ame modernisation. Service fantastic from reception to bar and restaurant.Rooms: 4/5
Great location for the m&s arena, plenty of parking, near McDonald’s and kfc, has I suppose all the basics of a budget hotel. Needs new bed/mattress, springs actually feelable , room very basic, need’s upgrading, thin walls right through, ok for one night.Rooms: 2/5
Thr rooms are pretty basic, which is fine as we only stayed the one night, but they are a bit desperate for an upgrade, especially the heaters and windows can hear everything going on outside The staff were lovely and very helpful. The location is nice as it's right on the docks, so if you're in one of the rooms at the back, I'm guessing you have a nice view. It is set just off a main road but has a decent car park. If the windows had an upgrade, it would probably be better. Overall, I did the job for the night. They do provide breakfasts continental and full English if needs be too
This hotel had a fantastic location, right near the heart of all the attractions! Plus, free parking was a huge bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was kept clean and tidy throughout my stay. However, the room itself felt a little dated. The bathroom had clearly seen some repairs, and the grout really needed attention. The bed was also quite worn, and the springs creaked loudly when I moved, making for a restless sleep. Overrall, it's a good option for budget-minded travelers who prioritise location and service over luxurious accommodation One concern was that my room was located on the ground floor in a separate building from the hotel reception with a separate entrance via an automatic door that, as far as I could tell, anyone could access. This means there was no requirement for a keycard or any other security measure to enter the building where my room was located. This lack of security control caused some worry during my stay, as anyone could have potentially entered the building from the street.  I did not mention this to the staff when I left so there may be a procedure they follow that I don't know about.
Could do with an update but for a cheap place it's clean and would do if its just a bed to trow urself into after a night out staff are very nice and the reception is quite pleasant nice bar cleaning staff are extremely helpful and kind would stay there again but no lift so and 3 flights of stairs but on request they did move me to ground floor
We visit Liverpool every couple of months, so thought we would try here, the low cost and free parking being a huge factor as we are here so often. We usually stay at a competitor on the same street. Yes the rooms are basic, but it was clean and all of the staff we encountered were really lovely and helpful, therefore we will be booking again next month.
