We stayed here this weekend. The free parking is an absolute winner. The locality to the city centre is perfect. Room was clean and ideal size for my wife and I. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The bar is well stocked and well priced plus open until 1am. Highly recommended and we will be booking again next time we're coming to Liverpool.
Everything was perfect except for a few things. The hotel did not have an elevator. The room did not have an electrical outlet next to the bed. The view is very beautiful, but be sure to ask for a room facing the river when booking, the other rooms are facing the road. The hotel was in a very good place in the city. It was close to everything. The parking space was very easy
The hotel was easy to get to from coming London. The parking was free. As soon as we arrived, the staff were very friendly and had good banter. The room was of good quality considering we paid nearly the minimum. The bathroom was pretty small but we had a good view of the river. We did not get the breakfast but the bar/restaurant seemed nice. Nearby activities: Very close to the city centre so a 15/20 min walk from the nearest spoons and very near the Camp and Furnace. Walkability: About a 20 min walk from the central station.
Absolutely super little hotel- really exceeded my expectations. Rooms are simple and compact, but very clean. Staff are extremely friendly and professional- nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great- lots of choice and everything freshly cooked. Easy parking on site - a real bonus and convenient to walk to all the sights. They have even made a well-tended little garden area by the entrance. Nice bar to sit and watch the river at the end of the evening. A lot of care goes into this place - my visit was what I can only describe as a cheerful experience and we will be back. Thank you Alan and all the team.
Excellent location for Liverpool centre. Rooms are clean, spacious and tidy. A great budget hotel which we have used many times.Rooms: 5/5
Stay here for 4 day last week. Room were very clean even if they were on the small side. Food was also good and the staff were excellent, bar one lad who was very unhelpful and found it hard to smile. I would recommend it to anyone going to Liverpool and would definitely book into the hotel again if I was back in Liverpool.
Booked 2 nights at the Dolby because we were in the area for work with our large van & the free parking with no height restrictions was great. The hotel is well positioned to the Albert Docks & Liverpool one both in walking distance. Kfc, Maccys, shop, box park & golf fang all within minutes. Room was small but equipped, clean and does the job. Bathroom was tiny but for the price we were happy. Reception & check in were both brilliant, staff a credit to you. I'd like to mention I hope I have the name right! Mr Leatherbarrow, who was a delight, so happy, friendly & accommodating. =
Great, budget accommodation in Liverpool. It was my first time in the city, and the hotel is well placed for the main sights as well as the Baltic Triangle. The room was comfortable, if small. Tea and coffee were provided. Breakfast was delicious, with a great view of the Mersey. Best thing was the warm and friendly staff, there were two men at the reception desk who were so friendly and stopped to have a kind word with my young son and I when they could. The budget market is always difficult to get right, but this place certainly makes.a good attempt at it. I would highly recommend if you are staying in Liverpool for a short break. Nearby activities: Nearby all the main attractions. Walkability: Easy to access central attractions. Food & drinks: A good choice of breakfast foods for a reasonable price with the cost of living crisis.
Had a good experience staying here...the location is good..the room is decent....washroom is very tiny ..like very tiny but manageable. The 2 girls checking us in were lovely, the male receptionist we encountered checking out was not...he barely acknowledged us returning the room fob and acted like we didn't exist. it was 730 am and no one around so being busy wasn't an excuse Note to Dolby management.... reception is the key to an establishment's success and a guests experience...be it coming or going. I would give the male receptionist a 0/10.
Great budget hotel, the staff were absolutely brilliant and the room very comfortable with a lovely view of the river Mersey . The breakfast was amazing. Just a little far out from the actions and attractions. Would definitely stay there again..Rooms: 5/5
