I loved my stay at the Lodge! Staff was extremely accommodating and kind. I felt so taken care of upon check-in and check-out. Location was great and near some fabulous restaurants. Breakfast was lovely and delicious. Room was cozy with nice little touches. The bath products were incredibly lush. I hope I get a chance to come back and stay again!
We had the loveliest stay at burford lodge. It has recently been renovated and just opened their restaurant. We stayed for a local wedding and it was the perfect place, close to the high street, with parking and super comfortable rooms. The owner was so kind and hospitable, giving local recommendations. The breakfast was 5 stars on its own - fresh food, delicious and filling. You can tell a lot of live and care is put into your stay. Thank you!
Change of ownership and boy what a sea change! Beautiful & everything fabulous. Has its own grounds with ample parking. Fantastic beds. This is a luxurious boutique hotel. French/Italian fusion restaurant opens in the Spring! Best place in Burford, hands down.Rooms: 5/5
We stayed at the Burford Lodge for a weekend away in the Cotswolds and we were blown away by our experience here. The location is great it’s a short 5 minute walk to the high street, with on site parking too! Since other hotels on the high street don’t have on site parking staying at the Burford Lodge is an absolute no brainer. The room itself was stunning and decorated and finished to a great standard, we had a lovely bathroom with a big bath and lovely shower. The staff were lovely and gave us some great recommendations for things to do in the area and restaurants/pubs to visit, they really made our trip! The breakfast selection was lovely it all tasted amazing and everything is made to order it and tastes great there is an option for everyone! If you’re looking to go to the Cotswolds I definitely recommend this hotel we went to a few other villages etc but this really is the best base for your Cotswolds adventures, we can’t wait to return and see what else they have in store over the coming months!
We had a great time staying at Burford Lodge, the host was lovely with lots of great recommendations for our stay. The room was really nice, clean and quiet.Rooms: 5/5
We called at about 4pm on the night we wanted to stay to see if they had any rooms available. They did. We arrived about 30 minutes later, and were warmly greeted. The owner was very knowledgeable about the area, and suggested a few places to eat that evening. The hotel itself was perhaps a bit dated, but we quite like that. The room was spacious, and although near the main road, the double glazing did a good job of keeping the noise out. Breakfast was good. Hotel has a large spacious free car park. The hotel is not in Burford but about 10 minutes walk away, on the edge of the town, at the top of the hill.

A bit overpriced for what it was, £140 a night, including breakfast. First impressions are poor because the front door could do with a paint. Room was small, but clean. Floor was very creaky. Walls are thin. No shelf/basket to put bottles of shampoo, etc in the shower. The bar didn't have any supply of pale ale or bitters on tap or on draft. Only lager. Breakfast was ok, mushrooms seemed to be canned. But there was a hair on my plate. These things can happen and the waiter did apologise.
We stayed here for 1 night as a couple in the winter view room which has an amazing 4 poster bed and also a giant jacuzzi bath tub. The owner was fantastic, we had an absolutely delicious authentic style Chinese dinner and the breakfast was excellent. I stay in a lot of hotels and this one really felt like a relaxing break. 5/10min walk to town. Free parking. Will 100% stay again if in the area.
Characterful rooms. Decent breakfast. Very helpful staff. In these challenging times, the service we received from the only member of staff we ever saw was faultless. Ample parking. Triple glazed windows for quiet night sleep. Easy 10 minute stroll to Burford high street and country walks. Convenient location for A40 to drive around Cotswolds.
