Buckswell cottage is a 1 bedroom pet friendly including catd (max of 2 at no extra charge) cottage located on the north side of Hury reservoir, with south facing with views overlooking Baldersdale.

Story

With scenery to rival the Lake District and the North Yorkshire moors but not a sole in sight the Durham Dales is the place to visit. Why not come and stay in our comfy cosy cottage fitted out with all the necessities you will ever need with a few modern luxuries thrown in. The cottage is situated just ten miles from the market town of Barnard Castle overlooking Hury reservoir. There is plenty to do and see with lots of country walks available suitable for a variety of capabilities from keen ramblers to dog walkers or just those out for an afternoon stroll. Alternatively if you are looking for a quieter pace for your stay you can always relax in the garden and soak up the scenery keeping an eye out for all the native wildlife and birds, if you wish to get a little closer Hury reservoir boasts some of the best trout fishing as well as supporting a diverse array of waterfowl and with it being just a short stroll to the shores it makes for a unique experience during your stay.
After a fulfilling day exploring and seeing the sights the dales have to offer you know you are returning to a cottage where you can sit and relax in front of a real open fire before tucking up in the king-sized bed ready to see what adventures tomorrow brings
