A cosy quintessentially British pub. We've sat in the bar for several meals and the food is always of a good quality. The beer is good but more local beers would be ideal. A definite must if staying in the area.

Took a coffee and scone break during a long hike which was our first visit... although we do only live 2 miles away. It was excellent. Fast and efgicient servuce even on a busy Sunday. The scones were delicious and warm from the oven and the coffee was real. Would definitely recommend it and we intend doing some further exploration of their menu by booking an evening meal.

Stayed here a few times and always had a lovely relaxing time. Ideal for romantic getaways with hubby but also enjoyed break with friends, excellent food and walks on the doorstep.

We have stayed here many times and we can highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard. The house keeping is excellent, all rooms are impecably clean. The staff team are consistantly kind, friendly and helpful. Having eaten meals  in both the bar and the restuarant we  can confirm that the food served is delicious and of excellent quality. We just can't wait to stay again.
Just gets better and better.
Update.
Recent two night stay for birthday celebration with family and friends, absolutely wonderful. The care and attention given by all staff in all departments was outstanding. The food and menu choices were excellent, delicious and well presented.
