Great place to stay over. Friendly, welcoming and happy staff that made us feel like royalty. Evening meal was tasty, filling and good value for money. Nice range of beers. Breakfast was delicious; didn’t need to eat anything until tea time. Will definitely stay over again. Thanks to all and The Three Horseshoes.Rooms: 4/5
Service was fine and staff polite and efficient. We sat outside which was busy with people waiting for tables. Inside also busy and the restaurant was filled within a few minutes of opening. We only had drinks which were fine but everything seemed rather frenetic.
I've been here three times now, and every time, it's been excellent. I am disabled so have to use the mobility friendly room, which has everything I need, I use a mobility scooter, and I can drive straight into the room, and there's plenty of room to leave for it. The bathroom is a wet room, with plenty of hand rail's, the beds are nice and high to get in and out of and so comfy. The room is really modern and very clean. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, and lot's of it. The restaurant is great, lot's of choice and delicious meals. The staff are all very helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble, they even helped me in and out of the restaurant.
Came across this establishment after a wonder around the castle & town centre. On getting seated by a member of staff my friend txt me recommending this place, uncanny!! Wow!! Fantastic food. I had the chicken parmo my wife had the slow cooked brisket and my son had fish & chips. All 3 meals were cooked to a very high standard and the taste factor was off the scale. Portion size was plentiful. Friendly staff in a very nice setting. Would definitely recommend & would definitely return if we were in that neck of the woods again 5
Lovely stay. Great hosts in a lovely old restored ' coaching inn' set in the heart of town. Fabulous restaurant with great food too. Definitely return when we come back.Rooms: 4/5
Great pub/restaurant/hotel. Very comfortable and clean rooms right in the middle of Barnard Castle. Great place for an overnight stop or as a base to explore Teesdale and other Dales.
We didn't stay, but we ate in their restaurant. We didn't have a booking and were happy to be squeezed in and not rushed. The food was delicious and we will be going back. The only negative we had was the waitress was not keen on conversation, didn't appear interested.Service: 4/5

Had a couple of drinks in here a few weeks ago and the place is lovely and clean with a nice atmosphere, hoping to stay overnight in the coming months, a lovely girl showed us around one of the rooms and they look very nice.
Lovely place. Stopped for a beer and Sunday lunch. Enjoyed the food. Service was a bit slow but they were busy.Rooms: 5/5
