I was google-mapping Caldicot as a potential meet-up & stopover point and came across Brooklands Motel on the map... and WOW what a find! I was a little put off by the lack of uptodate website (having checked out many other hotels and B&Bs that way) but when I phoned to enquire about availibility, I was greeted and welcomed in a family-like manner and I happily booked a room with full confidence. I was absolutely delighted to arrive first (by train, the motel is an easy 10 minute walk away from Caldicot station) and be shown to our lovely room by the friendly and welcoming owner. I was then directed best route on foot up the road to the Castle as I had time to burn; had a lovely scone & tea there and perused the castle. The motel is extremely well presented, small, quiet, well-equipped, clean, and the owners obviously work hard to ensure everyone's needs are met. Our bed was super comfy, the en-suite (small but perfectly formed) was clean and the shower was good, and the breakfast was nice. I would highly recommend this wonderful Motel if you need somewhere reasonably priced in Caldicot. In fact, I doubt you could find anyplace better in the area, whatever price you paid.

ON ARRIVAL WE WERE MADE VERY WELCOME.(WE WERE A PARTY OF 6 PEOPLE) VERY NICE PLACE,WITH WELL KEPT GARDENS, THE ROOMS WERE VERY CLEAN AND COSY.NICE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. ACCOMMODATION IN CONVERTED TYTHE BARN.WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. WE WILL BE RETURNING.THANK YOU
