Great location for a few drinks in the sun or on a cosy winter evening but the food was awful. Greasy steak, made edible with ketchup chips swimming in fat, gritty salad drowned and soggy in dressing. Yuck! Not £25 worth of meal and not the treat I was looking forward to. So disappointed.
Great river front location and view of the River Wye . Old style country town pub with excellent service and really comfortable surroundings inside and out plenty of excellent seating and tables on riverfront outside the pub and great place to go for a walk around the Chepstow town. Plenty to see in and around the town lots of old buildings and interesting shops plus the Chepstow castle and if you're into horse racing then there's the famous Chepstow race course just outside the town. Highly recommend place to visit if new to the area or just passing through.
Just popped in by chance and had a fab roast dinner 10 out of 10 we'd give it xxnAlso asked for extra gravy, which they gave us an extra gravy boat full xx also asked for cauliflower cheese to come in separately due to one of us having an intolerance of cheese xx All was served as we wanted and all was delicious. So thank you to all the staff at the Boat Inn, for a very enjoyable lunch and served with lovely smiles too xxx So we will definitely come again xx
Food was excellent. And a great spot right by the river. Love music outside and as a really nice touch and the atmosphere of the whole place was excellent.nSlight gripe is the lack of baby-changing facilities/area. Although they allowed us to use a closed off area to change the baby, I don’t know what would happen if the place was fully booked.nBut this shouldn’t detract from it being a great pub with great food
On the river bank. Super Sunday Lunch.nFresh veg, plenty of roast Beef. Proper roasties. Lovely friendly staff nothing too much trouble. Extra gravy offered.nHappy Customers, can thoroughly recommend. Dining only.
