Great location and great price, but shockingly filthy common areas e.g. stairs which made me want to touch nothing, room was 1000 degrees - no AC just a broken fan that I wasn’t going to be allowed to use and had to almost beg reception for, and broken room door deadbolt so had to wedge a chair under the handle. Beds looked clean but pillows not straight… Bath mat still in the bath / shower - goodness knows what’s growing underneath it… Awful. Never, ever again.
Stopped by on a cross country bike ride. Archie a staff member was delightful. I rested up for about half an hour, filled my water, emptied my bladder. And, after some lovely conversation, was on my way. Will be recommending to other cross country bikers. :
This hotel don’t even deserve a 1 star rating.nTravelled from London last night at nearly 11pm to be refused on arrival.nHarry in reception clearly from the off didn’t like the look of me and my family which felt like it was a racial thing.nHe refused us and told us the room wasn’t big enough for me n my family which is-lie as I’ve never had any issues in any travel lodge before. I then offered to pay for a second room to which Harry said there wasn’t no more available and they were fully booked. Harry happened to laugh in our faces more than once. My daughter of 2 was falling asleep in my arms and they was more than happy for us to drive around gone 11pm.nWe requested speaking to the manager JohnnHe as well was rude and incompetent. He threatened to call police on us because we raised voices, who wouldn’t when you drove over 2 n half hours worked all day and shattered to then be refused a stay that was booked and paid for!!!!nThey told me n my family that we was best changing hotel that was able to accommodate our family and would transfer our booking over.nWhen we arrived to the second hotel we spoke to Nicola at Avonmouth who said we had a surprising outstanding fee as ‘we decided to move hotel’ which was a lie as we was refused in Severn.nShe had then told us she couldn’t understand why we was sent to her hotel as they had 8 rooms available in Severn hotel. We then had to pay again to stay as our children were tired.nSo Harry and John clearly had an underlining problem and I felt discriminated to why me and my family weren’t welcomed to stay in this hotel.nI definitely won’t be going back and advise anyone of colour who is considering here to think again.nThis most definitely felt like an attack.nVery unprofessional on how they treat customers.
Young lad on reception Lewis was very welcoming, friendly, nothing seemed to much for him. Room was very clean and comfortable perfect for my overnight stay. Morning of check out I asked one of the housekeepers young blonde girl didn’t get her name for some more coffee and was greeted with a smile and given more coffee. Lovely stay
I registered my car in the reception upon arrival and still received a parking fine on one of the two nights. I parked at the hotels parking spots and had done everything I could with registering the vehicle. Not worth the price, even though the hotel is cheap, the fine was around three times as much. Very disappointed.
