Brilliant landlord! We called in for a drink and told us lots of interesting stories about the pub and local area! Also gave our dogs a little hamper package. Refreshing to meet someone so welcoming, interesting and enthusiastic!
Best UK pub I’ve stayed in! Ask for Dave - he consistently went above and beyond. Such a great character, chivalrous, generous and kind, he’ll even share the history of the pub if you ask. It’s fascinating! A huge brekkie included, and felt so safe and comfortable. A great experience and truely give this pub my highest recommendation. Cheers for the warm send off from Wales, Dave!
Popped in with my 2 dogs - lovely warm welcoming environment- had a hot honey halloumi wrap was fantastic and kayde was a lovely host.nnVery enjoyable country pub in a prime location will definitely be back
A fabulous and traditional pub in a superb location. Dave and Lisa have a great establishment, food great and drinks selection in the bar good. The outdoor space is lovely and a great sun trap! The added bonus of the new doggy wash facility is great for us dog walkers - and whilst your pooch is drying off you can enjoy a drink and delicious bite to eat. A real gem.
Stayed one night, enjoyed a breakfast in the morning and came back later that day for Mother’s Day Sunday lunch. Amazing friendly service from beginning to end, the rooms were comfortable, clean and well presented. The food in both meals was fantastic. In particular, the service during the Sunday lunch was efficient yet we never felt rushed - impressive given that it was a busy service.
