Absolutely Horrible Stay – Avoid at All CostsnnThis was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The air conditioning in our room was completely broken, leaving the temperature at an unbearable 35°C 95°F throughout our entire multi-night stay. When we reported this, the manager admitted it “seemed super uncomfortable” but claimed there was nothing he could do.nnThere was only one fan in the room—and it didn’t work either. When we asked for a replacement, the hotel couldn’t provide one and didn’t make any effort to find a solution or offer any alternatives.nnAfter the first miserable night, a front desk worker assured us we could move to a different room the next day. However, when we returned, they told us we were too late and had already given the room away—even though no time had been specified. When we asked to speak with the manager again, he laughed, repeated how “uncomfortable” the room must be, and still refused to offer any help, compensation, or even an apology.nnThe complete lack of accountability, compassion, and basic hospitality was shocking. DO NOT STAY HERE under any circumstances.
Hotel is at an amazing location, canary wharf station and the area itself is very clean and has security 24/7 so it is extremely safe and you can be out at even later hours. The only negative I have to say about the hotel, is that the mattresses are hard as rock so after staying for 4 days, our backs were hurting a lot.nnSomeone did also get stuck in the lift, and the fire department had to come and rescue them resulting in one of the 3 lifts to be out of use for the remainder of our trip.
We had an amazing weekend stay in Britannia Int Hotel. I can't give enough credit to Ivet at reception who went above and beyond to make sure we are given the best room with river view and explained how everything works in detail. She was exceptional! If you are reading this - благодаря
Appalling Treatment – Forced to Leave Early Without CompensationnnI booked and fully paid for a stay at Britannia Hotel, Canary Wharf from July 17 to July 21. After checking in, I was shockingly informed by the reception that the hotel had been privately hired and that we were being forced to vacate one day early — with no prior notice, no apology, and absolutely no compensation.nnInstead of honoring the original booking or arranging alternative accommodation, the hotel offered to move us to Britannia Hampstead, but only if we paid for it ourselves — and even then, they only offered a discount on that second room. No taxi was offered, no help with the transfer, and no refund for the lost night.nnThis is not only unprofessional — it’s unacceptable. I had a legal contract and a confirmed booking. The way this was handled showed zero regard for the customer, and I left feeling stressed, displaced, and completely disregarded.nnI strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to be cautious. If something goes wrong, don’t expect help, compensation, or even a proper explanation.
Stayed here the weekend with friends.nGreat location, staff really helpful and friendly,nothings too much for them.nRooms large,fab bathrooms plenty of space and aircon.nFood is also good with a large variety at the buffet both evening meal and breakfast, bar prices not bad for London.nDefinitely recommend this hotel.
