The first negative experience about this was the reception - there isn't one!! There are people lounging around that approach you if they think you need them - I didn't have a clue where to go, or who to look for - you just stand around talking, and to make that worse they didn't look official or smart - very unprofessional. The air con in the room doesn't actually cool - you can set the temperature low, but it doesn't do anything. There are no fans, and the windows are (obviously) restricted so only open a certain amount, which isn't enough to let much air in. I stayed in January, so it was pretty cool outside, but I was still uncomfortably warm inside, despite leaving it open for the whole of my stay (6 nights I think). No inputs for external sources in the TV - not unforgivable, but annoying on top of everything else, plus the TV was too low on the wall, so I didn't bother watching it. No room service - again not unforgivable, but annoying when you're travelling alone and don't want to have a bar snack in a noisy bar with everyone drinking. Full review on Trip Advisor - too long for here. All in all it was a completely miserable experience of the Ibis hotels that made me ill - someone mispronounced it as Abyss while I was in London and the name stuck! I literally have nothing good to say about the whole experience, and shall never look to stay at another again.

This hotel is so well situated for a visit to the Excel. The rooms are basic but very comfortable. The staff are pleasant and helpful but you are able to "do your own thing" with no fuss. We have stayed twice at the London Docklands Ibis and certainly will do so again. Excellent value for money with a surprisingly nice setting near the water with interesting views of London.

Had a fantastic stay (even if it was just for one night!) Great location, easy access to O2 etc. Only issue could be the proximity to the airport - don't expect to have a lie in as you'll be woken up by jets taking off at 8am. Very nice lobby and bar area and the rooms seemed really modern with everything you'd ever need. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great! Would definitely recommend

I'll start with the positive parts: The service was good and the employees were friendly, the breakfast delicious and the lobby clean ans comfy. Now the worse: My room was an imposition. The smell was awful. Even open windows didn't help. Everything was dirty. The carpet was full with stains and so were my blankets! There were two big stains which looked like someone peed on it long time ago when the blankets used to be white instead of yellow.

this hotel is very well located for visiting the excel exhibition centre. walking distance. neat and clean rooms. helpful staff. stayed here during the BETT exhibition. overall a good experience.
