Situated next to Premier Inn and used by customers from there , adequate free parking available. Disabled Access and indoor child play area provided. Outside seating also available. Pub food provided at a competitive price and Christmas festive menu also a good price. Staff very obliging.
Went here for food as working away from home, service was good but the food was disgusting! Starters came out very fast, main meals came out after we chased them up at the bar about them after waiting for over an hour. When they finally arrived the steak was not cooked how requested. Burgers were cold and hard the chips were cold the lasagna was taste less and un edible. We ended up going uo the road to a fast food van! We will not be eating here again!
Ok, most staff are friendly enough, I bit shocked at the price of a drink, 4.25 for a shandy. Like wow... and the food was way below par and also expensive. If your looking for friendly staff and good food, AVOID. A side note is that the restaurant is literally next door to the hotel and all I can hear is their staff shouting and making strange noises and screeching at 10:30 at night. I'm here working and expect that kind of behaviour from the people who use the pub, not the staff. Totally a bunch of disrespectful idiots
Ordered a cheeze and onion pie with roased carrots and peas. I got school dinner veg and a soggy pastry pie, for just over 11£. I went and asked where the roasted carrots were, the oven was broke apparently. My advertised crisp pastry was slop. No problem getting a refund though. Give the place a miss unless you like to be dissapointed.
What poor experience of service I received this evening . With the amount of colleagues you had on tonight , would of expected 110% service .tonight was poor no supervision on these colleagues . I felt the customer was non existant . I had asked for a condiment to come out which never did. The food chips were hard and over cooked probably reheated . No one came over at any time to say how good food was . normally you do this . I am regular customer but this occasion has put me off in returning . Again I add I felt the customer was at bottom on ensuring this customer would return . Your website says carvery on till 8 .you closed it at 6 ………… Edited .18 hours later is that all you can say is sorry ! and as for carvery till 8pm was on website last night so someone either from head office has rectified the times . But hopefully people will read reviews and word and mouth they won’t return because I certainly won’t be . Your service on that night was disgusting and it wasn’t that they were short staffed but you had more than enough to allow colleagues to do what they wanted and not care about customers .
Had a great evening at Cepen Brewers. We had a 10 seater table with great food and drinks. I had the rump steak and chips the steak was cooked to perfection medium rare My wife had the smothered chicken also cooked beautifully. Out of 10 people I can honestly say there were no complaints on our table. I can recommend the Chocolate Torte with raspberry sauce, wow small but delicious. The drinks were varied and at a fair price too. The restaurant we were in was clean and Very smart and the service was excellent, with only short waiting times for the food service. All in all it was great night and I can personally recommend THIS particular Brewers so it's a five star from me.
Came on a Sunday, waitress we had was very friendly and place was very busy but food came in a decent time frame. I will say the vegetarian sausages and Yorkshire pudding wasn’t the best. My family had other dishes and they liked theirs. But overall I wouldn’t visit again, as feel it’s nothing special.
I've only recently started to visit and I do love this place. Soft plat attached is a fab idea! Although can make this trip rather expensive but it's still great. Carvery for me was OK apart from the potatoes were disgusting. Portion sizes for the prices are not good but overall I do love this place and would recommend.Food: 3/5
Easy to find with plenty of parking. At 4pm on a Wednesday quite quiet. We just called in for a drink. Barman was quick to serve, polite and the bar was clean and tidy. We didn't eat and only stayed for one drink but this was not the fault of the pubs.Service: 4/5
Kids birthday party here. Staff were helpful but there was a little miscommunication in the lead up and I was worried they were double booked! I also wanted to settle the bill upfront but they couldn't do that, which was fine but another staff member said I could. Party went off without a hitch and was less stressful than doing it all myself. Kids had a blast and the goodie bags at the end were full of fun activities and had minimal plastic, which was a bonus!
