Cheap and cheerful made to feel very welcome by staff had a good evening drinking with them and a few locals big thumbs up to Elizabeth the house keeper great character. Room was nice and clean had a good nights sleep had a homely feel.
Honestly one of the loveliest places to stay, the staff are beyond amazing and all incredibly helpful with any questions. Perfectly kept rooms and the beds are so comfy. Tv is provided within the rooms for an extra bit of entertainment aswell as this downstairs there are constantly different bits of entertainment for everybody, pool, karaoke or simple just a drink. Highly recommend this hotel and I will be returning again as soon as possible.
Good little hotel in a great location in Chippenham. Owners and dog are very friendly and made my stay more enjoyable. It is a bit tired but you expect that from an old building really, all very clean and tidy. Only stayed for a night so was just using it as a base while I was visiting the area so perfect for that.
This hotel is obviously undergoing a transition in ownership, and the very pleasant management are doing their best during the much needed renovation period. As a result outwardly the hotel is very tired, and needs the investment to bring it back to its former glory. The bedroom was very comfortable, and reasonably priced. I wish them luck, and really hope that they can see their vision through to fruition.
Lovely hotel..Central location. Undergoing renovations at time of visit.No lifts so not suitable for very elderly or disabled but then it is a very old and historic hotel. Friendly staff.Enjoyable stay .Happy to stay there again .Great bus service to Rail station and very close to shopping centres.
Lovely old building, needs a make over and clever marketing but has huge potential to be a great little B&B. Good location for Chippenham town centre and really friendly locals including the lovely Staffy who said hello every time we walked in.
Work booked us accomodation for 3 nights. Walked in to some woman trying to demand £300 cash even though it had been paid by our company. Vile woman tbh. Someone was painting some board on dining floor. Stunk. Never stayed. Advise to avoid this dump!!!Service: 1/5
In the middle of a refurbishment; so the kitchen is closed. Staff are friendly and the room is comfortable and pleasant. There is no parking - one of the hotel websites suggested there was, I was fortunate that I arrived shortly before 6pm and could use on-street parking...
Absolutely disgusting place. Makes faulty towers look like a luxury 5 star get away. Had to wipe my feet on the way out of the place it was that dirty. Dont think they own a hoover or any bleach or any cleaning equipment. Its a pity i had to put a star. Because it doesnt deserve 1. It should be closed down and fumigated
This is a great hotel, it's very central and the owners were lovely! My wife and I stayed here for two nights recently and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, fantastic value for money and we highly recommend it!
