Do not waste your money on this property. The location is great but it is simply not worth it to stay here. To start, the rooms were filthy with stained and torn linens, floors, and towels and lacking in basic amenities like tissue paper. I am not sure how a 'four star' hotel does not even provide a box of tissues. On the last night of our stay, the roof in our room was leaking all over our bedding and belongings with who knows what. We were then moved into two single rooms that were so painfully small you couldn't even open a bag in it, despite paying for a larger double room so my friend and I could spend my birthday together. We were told that the leak was out of their control so we just have to take the rooms. The water was also shut off in the entire hotel for that last day and evening, we were unable to shower and get ready for my birthday dinner. When the water finally turned back on after midnight, I went to take a shower only to find the shower leaking in my single room and flooding the entire bathroom. I called the front desk to let them know and was told I should not use the shower. Absolutely horrific customer service in the month since my stay when I have been contacting management consistently to refund us for the stay and at the bare minimum for the night where we did not get the rooms we paid for in addition to the property NOT HAVING WATER. Truly abysmal experience all around, I would never stay here or recommend anyone to stay here as well. Shocking that they think it's appropriate to charge customers for a service not provided
Terrible customer service. Avoid this hotel. I’m a regular and tested positive for Covid 24 hours before my stay. Thought they’d be ok with me asking to change my date rather than cancel, on the advice of Booking.com who I’d booked with. Even emailed my covid test. No empathy or customer service skills. They were rude and inconsiderate and no understanding that I was sick and not asking for a refund. Do not stay at this hotel. They use dynamic pricing and so the prices for their tiny rooms jump by £80-£150 daily. The receptionist advised me to not book direct for this reason. I travel a lot but this is the worst hotel for customer service in London. The stress they caused me when I was sick was unforgivable.
we stayed for a week in a family triple room in August 24. the room was very small but clean and renovated. spacious bathroom with a shower. bathrobes and towels provided with soap, shampoo and conditioner. room cleaned daily. very basic breakfast but enough to start the day. best thing about the hotel is the location, small nice street close to Baker street tube 5 min slow walk. excellent if you go to Wembley to see a show. 2 stops away on the Metropolin line. also very close to Marylebone high street. you can walk to Oxford street but its faster to catch a bus from Baker street. lots of shops and fast food restaurants also some posh ones around. on the last day of our stay they had a problem with water leaking and we couldn't shower. but problem was fixed same day. i would stay here again.
Check in was great, staff were helpful. Very nice included breakfast. Rooms are small but comfortable. Excellent location, with fantastic restaurants, and shops nearby - except Toast, Marylebone, which had lackluster staff and left a bad impression.
The walls are poorly insulated – I could hear people in the hallway and my neighbors talking. On top of that, there was no hot water throughout my entire stay.Rooms: 2/5
The room was clean but very dingy- definitely not what I would expect from a hotel that is listed as four stars. Badly scuffed and marked up walls and baseboards. Multiple visible stains on the carpet. The bathroom was clean but there was what looked to be mold or something similar on the shower door. Soap from a previous guest left in the shower. In addition , we requested that housekeeping not enter our room, confirmed room number with front desk and were told they wouldn’t - but housekeeping had been in the room while we were out on each of the four days there. Other small things about the room to note that aren’t a problem other than it being an old building in London: rooms are extremely small and there is about one foot of space between the end of the bed and the wall, which makes it very hard to walk around. The lift is so small it can only fit one person at a time and floors are extremely creaky.
We had a wonderful stay! The hotel staff were very friendly, wonderful breakfast in the morning, and clean rooms. The location was within walking distance of Baker street station and located in a quiet area.Rooms: 4/5
POOR, POOR, POOR. My wife and I arrived at our room and discovered it had a leak in the bathroom ceiling and we not able to use. We were downgraded from an Executive Double Room 2 people max at £200 a night into a Small Double room 1 person max at £169 and have been offered a £15 refund on the room even though the difference is £30 and £15 compensation for the inconvenience. Clearly doesn't bother managers squeezing more people into a room than intended and also breaking H&S and fire regulations. I'm sure their insurance company won't mind though.
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Horrendous hotel and is falsely advertising that they are 4*. We left immediately when entering the room as it felt unsafe and dangerous. Upon entering, it is visible that the hotel is severely run down. Terrible service and cheap looking and extremely DODGY room. Foul odour, writing on the walls, stains on the pillow case. Botched reception area. DISGRACEFUL.
Hotel staff was great. Breakfast that's provided is amazing which is a nice start to your day. Room was decent. Only complaints was the lack of water from the basin and the type fire escape door which I wouldn't expect in a room disturbed the aestetic of the room. Otherwise I'd definitely come back.Rooms: 4/5
