What can I say but excellent, nay fabulous. It's a very small little pub in a beautiful valley with a very warm welcome. Go into the tiny bar room with one table and enjoy a drink from local ales to a very nice local lager. Then go through to one of the small rooms and have the fabulous food. I had mushrooms and Lamb Henry. Locally sourced lamb cooked perfectly...I think it's the best lamb I've ever had and then the dark chocolate torte with peppered strawberries. Absolutely delicious. My wife had the soup and then fish and chips with an amazingly crispy batter and home made tartare sauce...again perfectly cooked and the cheeseboard to round things off, all locally sourced. An amazing meal. We will be back.

Yes indeed one of my favourite all time pubs and I've only been once. To start with the beer was well served and tasted fine. The cosy rooms the old benches and even a real miniature rose in the gents. A friendly barman and log fires. Well done landlord and thanks very much

Absolutely outstanding. The food was incredible. The slow cooked lamb and pork belly was brilliant. In addition to the amazing food, the super attentive, really friendly staff along with the great open fire, country pub atmosphere made for a wonderfully enjoyable evening. We will most definitely be driving back from London to experience this excellent pub again. Can't recommend it enough. Thank you.
