We stopped in the Mews over the weekend and it was very well presented and clean. Hot tub was big and warm. Views were spectacular.nFood was to die for. We have the burger and the lamb and it was such a high standard. All drinks at the bar were great. The Friday night atmosphere was vibrant. Live band. All staff friendly and welcoming. We are coming back without doubt!!
It's a nice cozy bar area and the beer good. What I did not like was no clear displaying of prices, no change so would only take card, the less than friendly staff and lastly when you finish a pint, they swoop and almost snatch your glass from your hand. All most peculiar, as it could be an awesome place, but for me it was rather disappointing.nI only went to the Bar and did not stay in the hotel.
What a find of a hotel. The rooms are so comfortable, spotless and lovely natural products in the bathroom. We had a lovely room over looking Grasmere. The food in the bar was lovely, would definitely recommend the smoked ploughman platter as a starter.
One of the best pubs in Lakland! We called in at lunchtime with our two dogs after a very wet hike. Great selection of real ale and stout served by very friendly and efficient bar staff. We didn't eat here but the food looked delicious. Highly recommended
Great Saturday afternoon vibe with good food and drink. Guys behind the bar were great although trying to charge me a million pounds unsurprisingly it didn't authorise, thanks for a great afternoon all.
