Diligent research before staying in Grasmere for the weekend revealed that this was the only pub in the village with live Premier League football so Tweedies Bar had three stars from the off. Good food, an excellent range of quality beers of all types and a very welcoming atmosphere seals the deal. Obviously, if you're not a football fan I would avoid it when there's a big game on though!

Visited for new year's eve. Fantastic band. Bar staff were very helpful and efficient. Reasonable selection of drinks. Fireworks were great. Good crowd.

We didn’t book a table and were told we could eat at one of the tables in the bar if we could find space, luckily a couple were leaving as we were told this so we ordered food and took around 15 minutes to be brought out to us. We ordered the burgers with chips - they were huge and tasted great. I would recommend to book a table here though as there were a lot of people waiting for tables at the bar to eat food so we were lucky to get the table.

Live music, nice atmosphere. Extremely acceptable food. I would suggest that gravy should not be a chargeable option when you order steak & kidney pie and mashed potatoes....!!.A great deal of positives so I would recommend a visit to a casual dining experience in a beautiful part of the world.

Fantastic bar. Great atmosphere. Always got a great selection of beers and ciders. A must visit bar
