Odd and somewhat snobby atmosphere. We went on a recommendation but sadly can't rate the food as we didn't stay that long. Despite it being very quiet we felt very unwelcome as we hadn't booked for just 2 of us. A group of 4 came in a few minutes later, who also hadn't booked, but they were served ahead of us no problem. We were left to sit for about 15 minutes waiting for a menu. I even got up to ask and was told that as we hadn't booked we had to wait as the other group apparently now had the only 4 menus in the building. The waitress had brought us water but didn't show any interest in getting us any other drinks while we were waiting. By the time we were allowed to look at the menus we were so put off we decided to go elsewhere. Very disappointing. The attitude with which this place appears to operate completely spoils what could obviously be a lovely place.

We started going when they had a pop up in a local Coniston cafe. Excellent food, excellent service and lovey decor. I like that it is BYO bottle as it means you don't need to buy over priced wine! Can't recommend it enough. Always very friendly and welcoming. Make sure you book in advance.

Fantastic setting, candle kit and quirky. One of the best meals i have ever had the pleasure to eat (slow cooked beef) attentive staff and not stupidly expansive. Can't recommend this place enough.

Fantastic little place! The service is friendly, and the food delicious. It's BYOB with a small charge. 2 or 3 courses and great gluten free options. Can't recommend highly enough!

Great little bistro, excellent food, great ambience. Booking recommended, no alcohol licence but BYOB for a very reasonable corkage. Not your average lakes eatery, a hidden gem.
