Reviews
A family run restaurant serving fine modern British food. Service was excellent and we were greeted with happy smiling faces. The specials of the day were very good. The pigeon breast was nice and tender. The lamb shank very good. The beef medallions was nicely cooked.
From the moment we walked in this was clearly a class bistro. The decor is lovely and modern, comfortable seating and well kept tables. The menu had lots of options for lunch. We wanted something light so went with toasted chicken sandwich, with a cup of tomato and red pepper soup. Everything was cooked to perfection. And to top it all very reasonably priced. Fully recommend for lunch or dinner.nUpdate. We returned 2 days later for dinner, our last in the Lakes. It did not disappoint. Dinner was even better than lunch. I went with the sirloin for main followed by chocolate desert. The missus had the venison which was equally outstanding. A lovely Garnacha completed our special evening.
Food was really nice! Well cooked and presented! Sat on a little terrace over looking the street which was nice and private to celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary!nnOnly issue was the service in between coarse’s was a bit slow!nnWould go back again!
The dishes were very well prepared and the staff was attentive and friendly. Both the meat and the fresh fish were prepared as requested. There is also a nice selection of wine on the menu that offers a good choice for a nice pairing with the food.
From reservation to leaving everything was more than excellent. The welcome was warm and we felt good every second. The food was extraordinary! Not only our meals were fantastic in look and taste, it was also wonderful what we saw on the plates of the neighbourhood. The Porto earns a clear recommendation for those who want to experience something very special.
