Comfortable nights sleep on a very small bed, only one bedside table. Very basic but did the job. Very busy in the restaurant so food must be good but are elsewhere as they were booked up.nPlenty of choice for breakfast.
My company paid £120 for a room. I was given room 46 which was the dirtiest and most run down hotel room I've ever been in, absolutely shocking given the price. The only clean things in the room were the bed sheets and the toilet. The only other time I've seen a room so bad was Norbreck Castle in Blackpool which was £30 a night.nnFor the money my company paid, I was expecting a room at the very least equal to a Premier Inn.nnI took some photos and showed them to the women at reception who didn't seem very surprised by the complaint but who did offer me a different room which was larger, more modern, still slightly rough around the edges but most importantly much cleaner.nnSome highlights of the photos include, a hole in the bathroom door, a non functional air vent full of dust, a disturbing white stain on the wall paper, what appears to be blood splattered around the top of the door frame, a build up of dust on top of the TV that had taken a while to accumulate and a cob web on the light.nnThe bed appears to be missing a head board and the mattress was unable to be pushed up to the wall leaving gap plenty big enough for all your pillows to fall down.nnThis room should have never been offered to me. I only gave two stars for the room because they offered me a much better room with no fuss. The first room was one star.nnThe hotel was very warm, I had to keep my window fully open all night.nnYou can hear traffic from the room but given the hotels close proximity to the town centre, you can't really complain about that.nnThe breakfast was good.nnI absolutely wouldn't pay my own money to stay here again.
To be honest it would have been a 5 star apart from booking a room for 2 people only to find there was 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel .. I know I probably could have qwnt down and got another towel but we had a towel of our own in our bags and couldn't be bothered .. I'm hoping this was an over sight and not a normal.... other than that the staff were good bed was comfy room was clean and breakfast was ok
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in for food, quiet night too, parking is good with an over flow to the rear, rear is not recommended for the elderly as there are quite a lot of steps and a slope to negotiate if you choose not to use the steps that is. Bed was ok, shower was ok.
Great hotel in a good location for seeing g local attractions. Falkirk town too was great nice shops and restaurants. Big free carpark outside hotel and Dollar park opposite had a lovely park for the kids ha-humm and also the adults who like the swings!
